Success with second, third...pregnancies after PPP?
Wondering if there is anyone out there with successful pregnancies, post birth experiences after having a PPP episode in the past. Anybody out there who hasn't had a reoccurence after other births? I'm trying for another baby after a terrible ppp episode in 2010. Ive been diagnoised bipolar since

Panic, trazadone and diazepam.
I lasted aweek in citalopram and ended up with a reaction severe enough to induce a mild, tho terrifying
psychosis
that lasted months.

I really want to go out, but I'm so lazy!
I'm not sure of myself today, haven't been for a long time, been experiencing a snap of
psychosis
, yanno, voices? It's becoming a regular occurrence now, thinking overboard.

Was diagnosed in Oct' 2002 with paranoia

but did not have any learning disabilities & had painful muscle spasms down the right side of my body. Have mild now problems with my lexicon (language) too.

Information and opinions about Puerperal Psychosis
Hello, I am a student midwife just starting my dissertation which is on puerperal
psychosis
. I really hope you don't mind me asking for opinions on here. I intend to discuss how midwives can recognise signs of
psychosis
, whether they have enough training to do this and to support their ladies.

"Just pull yourself together" - What do you say to people who can't understand why you are feeling the way you do?
Hi all, I have been feeling persistently low for at least two months now, and I think this is because I am unsure about what occupation to take up, being hindered by a lack of confidence as well as my recent history of
psychosis
and schizophrenia.

My Wife's current journey.
In this time she has been going to church and has been resentful of being told that she has a
psychosis
. It has perhaps evolved a little by her accepting the
psychosis
but she is adamant that this is still the work of the devil.

Hello
My brother suffers from
psychosis
. I feel almost like I'm scared that if I were to have children, I might bring a little person into the world who may suffer the same and when I see the torture my brother experiences, I would never want to inflict that on another human being.

Gender disappointment, on top of worry of Post partum psychosis for this 2nd pregnancy- anyone else experienced this?
I cried all last night and feel really disappointed and wondering if we should have stuck to one, as it's going to be hard enough post delivery with the possibility of the
psychosis
again.

Phobic of the work environment. Please read, I know it's long and boring...
As if I didn't already feel paranoid enough, after that, I completely cracked up and started experiencing
psychosis
, regularly. The stress was messing with my brain, I then attempted suicide as I couldn't cope with the embarrassment any more.

My PP story: from non-diagnosis to misdiagnosis to diagnosis to ongoing recovery.
I am so glad I found this website. It's been really good reading other women's stories and realise you're not alone. I thought I should share my story. This is a story about what happens when PP is NOT diagnosed, misdiagnosed and then diagnosed far too late. I had PP following the birth of my daughter
