Hi midoo5,

It's really awful when it's aimed at you but I think it happens quite often that it's taken out completely unintentionally on those nearest. Is she taking medication now? Does she have family or friends close by & is there anyone looking after her? Who is looking after the child/children now? Sorry for all the questions but it's good to have a clearer picture.

Three years is such a long time, has she spoken to her GP or anyone about it at all? She doesn't need to suffer in silence & be alone, help is out there & it's really good that you can guide her to it.

Hi midoo5,

It sounds like you're both having a tough time. It's definitely true that we often take things out on those closest to us and although that doesn't make it any easier for you, please know that you are not alone. As Andrea says, there are people out there to help both of you, both professionally (GPs etc) and personally (friends and family) and I hope you have been able to get some further support. Take care
