PSA after chemo # 4
Hi My husbands last chemo was # 3 and
PSA
was 0.14, he just got the results from Chemo # 4 and it was at 0.12. This is the slowest decline if you look in the profile Iisted all his
PSA
results. Should we be worried that this last one barely moved ? Or is this slower decline good news?

Casadex, on and off
During the last part of going on 3 years my
psa
started rising. They took me off Casadex and put me on Orgovyx which did not work so they put me on injections of lupron once a month. My
psa
again started rising on lupron injections. Now They have put me on nubeqa to lower
psa
. Start that tomorrow.

Provenge immunotherapy
.), my
PSA
hit its highest points ever (1.92), although I'm still not 2 points above my lowest reading of 0.5 (only one of those). I'm metastatic and was at diagnosis, so still have prostate.

1 year on - no PSA but tumor has "progressed"
He
hasn't
yet had a second
PSA
test, nor has he had a second biopsy. Note that while he may choose
not
to have the second biopsy (let's see what the forum thinks), he
is
going for his second
PSA
test (early next week) .

Abiraterone seems to be working
So I have my next Lupron injection at the end of May and my next MO appt is in Aug/Sept, assuming my
PSA
stays good. I'll go in for one or two
PSA
tests before the MO appt just to make sure my
PSA
is behaving. My MO has put up standing orders for me to get
PSA
tests whenever the mood strikes me.

provenge before metastasis
Is there a current Cancer Center that is a leader in immunotherapy Would there be any benefit in taking provenge after treatment when your
PSA
is low?

Pluvicto
My dad had his 1st pluvicto injection beginning of May He had his
PSA
taken 3 weeks later. It went from 16 to 23. I’m hoping this isn’t an indicator that this will fail too.

First PSA post surgery
Hello, Just had my first 3 month
PSA
test post surgery. <0.01. Good news but need to monitor every 3 years due to intraductal component. I just want to thank everyone that has been so supportive and has given me positive feedback on this forum.

High Gleason score + .2 PSA
Only a few years ago, the cutoff
PSA
for starting radiation was .5 Now, my doc and others want to start before it gets to .2 (I'm at .11, and I have a "risk factor" due to Gleason 9 score) https://www.cancernetwork.com/view/

Muscle loss
Can I incorporate creatine monohydrate without effecting my
PSA
or exacerbating my BPH? I'm Stage 4, Gleason 9, mets to lymph system.
PSA
is .010. I'm happy with that, however the loss of strength/ stamina is causing unnecessary pain in my body? Any info would be great.. Thank you.

Doubling Times and PSA acceleration - Part II
The DT is the time interval over which the
PSA
doubles. In this example, the
PSA
at point
A
= 10 ng/mL, and
PSA
at point
B
= 20 ng/ml. The time between points
A
and
B
is (15-12) = 3 months.

Treatment for low-PSA mHSPCa
The only study I can find on treatment for low-
PSA
: "Mortality Risk for Docetaxel-Treated, High-Grade Prostate Cancer With Low
PSA
Levels: A Meta-Analysis | Oncology | JAMA Network Open" | indicates that adding docetaxel to SOC for low-
PSA
patients had very good results, however this was for non-metastatic

Radiation after Docetaxel
In December his
PSA
was .61. In February it jumped to 2.3. He went for a PET scan. He went back to the doctor today his
PSA
jumped to 6. The scan showed that many of the metastasis in his bones shrunk are almost gone.

PSA doubled in last 30 days after 4 months stable since Provenge. What's next?
Update:
PSA
remained roughly 1.7 to 1.8 for last 4 months after Provenge but yesterday's 30-day
PSA
test revealed a jump to 3.190 so something is growing quick. I have been off of all ADT since finishing fourth LU-177 injection five months ago and one SBRT treatment 4 months ago.
