Casadex, on and off

I was on Casadex close to 3 years. During the last part of going on 3 years my psa started rising. They took me off Casadex and put me on Orgovyx which did not work so they put me on injections of lupron once a month. My psa again started rising on lupron injections. Now They have put me on nubeqa to lower psa. Start that tomorrow. I asked if I could go back on Casadex since in the beginning of taking casadex it lowered my psa a lot. Doc said no, it would not lower my psa again. From what I have read and heard, going back on casadex would be a good idea because it could reduce psa again after being off it for awhile. Anyone know if this is true because I really do not want to go on nubeqa since it has a tendency to raise blood pressure and that would not be good for my abdominal aneurysm

No, it’s a very bad idea. The cancer learns how to feed on it.

I have been on lupron continuously since 2016, 3 months injections. My Psa started going up in June 2021. My doctor put me on xtandi then, which is much stronger then casadex. I don’t know if that helps you any.

I was on Lupron and Casodex for many years....My doc took me off Casodex (April last year) and replaced it with Nubeqa.. So now it's Lupron every three months as usual and it's Nubeqa twice a day. So far it's working............
