First PSA post surgery

Hello,

Just had my first 3 month PSA test post surgery. <0.01. Good news but need to monitor every 3 years due to intraductal component. I just want to thank everyone that has been so supportive and has given me positive feedback on this forum. I am also getting genetic testing done this week as well. I have also had a couple consults regarding the intraductal part and it is odd that Doctors have a different perspective on it. But I am staying positive. Thank you!

Pretty sure you meant to say your next PSA test is in three months. Congratulations on the <0.01.

Congrats! Just got mine back as 0.04. Still considered “good” but would have preferred your even lower # to help me sleep until my next one in August.

Good, in quotation marks, call for monthly PSA readings. FYI my first 6 monthly PSA readings were all 0.02 and 2.5 years post RP at 0.17 started taking Bicalutamide, as it was evident I was BCR.

My post op PSA was undetectable...but started to increase at 9 months mark. We did monthly PSA at my insistence post op....and glad I did. Never got higher than.18 before starting ADT and Radiation. Approaching my 5th year anniversary with undetectable PSA since starting ADT (18 months)....and stayed there to date.

Hi Granolaberry,

Thanks for contributions - I've noticed you also have IDC. Trying to get as many folks with IDC to have a connections possibly even our own subgroup since it appears we are a minority of the PC world and it's always noted as "Highly aggressive" and not fully understood nor documented in research as often. Hoping to have chance to "Follow" you but your profile doesn't seem to allow or isn't activated? I may be unaware as to protocol as I'm not too tech savvy but wanted to reach out. Let me know if you're interested in further pursuit of others like us. I found two so far that are interested; FMOH, and OppositePlatypus9910, appears that the below are also in the same boat: Peppertree602, Cp014, Melzer2169 and Don717. That's it so far but hoping we can find more and group "think" and learn from each other.

Thanks Granolaberry,

Drakes
