Prucalopride

Do Prucalopride/Linaclotide stop excess gas and is one month on bisacodyl excessive please. Any experiences you have had in similar circumstances would be greatly appreciated.

I suffer with slow transit colon, have a small enterocele and rectocele, I currently take prucalopride, movicol and nortriptyline, I will be starting irrigation too, which worries me due to the rectum pain attacks.

Has any one been on Prucalopride and found it stopped working after a while? It was a life saver for two years for me, but everything is grinding to a halt again and the bloating is horrendous. I stopped it for two weeks and started back three days ago.

Also discussed the use of prucalopride for my symptoms. He agreed that I could try this medication for a short while to see if my body/intestines may benefit. I'll start with 1mg in first instance and can increase the dosage to 2mg daily.

Do I need to adjust anything whilst taking Prucalopride?

My Gastro has put me on Prucalopride 2mg which I currently take each night. Have been on this a week. Bowel movements are now really super soft. Lots of narrow stools and leakage late in the day. Any tips on the best time to take this, dosage, do I need to reduce fibre. Also long term effects.

Hi all,I've been taking 1,sometimes 2 laxido sachets daily for the past 3 months and this has helped.My gastroenteritis has suggested swapping for prucalopride 1mg but this gives me all day stomach ache.My question is,is laxido safe to use daily long term?

I already suffer with chronic constipation so I take prucalopride , which now isn't effective alone 😔 my question is how many sachets do you take? I've tried 3 but still nothings moving will it take time to work?

has anyone been prescribed prucalopride 1mg . I know what its for but I just wondered if it is tolerated well without too many of the side effects it lists before I give it a go? Thanks

I have been taking Prucalopride for almost a month but unfortunately it has made no difference. My consultant has recommended I try Biofeedback therapy. I'm not sure exactly what this procedure entails.

Based on available evidence, the panel made strong recommendations for the use of polyethylene glycol, sodium picosulfate, linaclotide, plecanatide, and prucalopride for CIC in adults. Conditional recommendations were made for the use of fiber, lactulose, senna, magnesium oxide, and lubiprostone.

My Gastro has prescribed me Prucalopride and Linzess but both stopped working after a few months.. I would be so grateful to anyone who would be happy to share their story, thoughts or advice as I am desperate to find a solution. Thank you all.

Prucalopride is pretty much the best bet but, and certainly if you are in the UK, getting hold of that will be mightily difficult...will require much jumping through hoops and, likely, the assistance of an open-minded and flexible gastro specialist...Lotsa luck! https://www.youtube.com/watch?

I’ve also been taking Prucalopride and Macrogol for IBS-C for two years. My Lipids are a bit high: Cholesterol 5.7mmol, LDL 3.3mmol, Triglycerides 1.3 mmol.

From my my research I have discovered that the trigger of the adverse event was the medicine called Resolor (prucalopride). The med was prescribed to me by a gastroenterologist for my chronic constipation.

Meds On 100mg amitriptyline at night as well as prucalopride and laxido for chronic constipation Also fostair for asthma and montelukast for asthma. Last 3 weeks I've had horrible pain on my vulva and in my vagina.

diagnosed me with small bacterial overgrowth that was treated and then to severe constipation for 2 months with hardly no movements to the point I could taste the faces in when I was vomiting after some time I started with diarrhoea again and now currently back to constipation the doc has prescribed prucalopride

I’ve been taking Prucalopride for a year now & it has been loosing its effectiveness slowly during this time , I’m now on 4 mg per day & also I’ve had to start taking Bisacodyl 20 mg as well over the past 6 months to keep things moving .
