Xtandi Resistance Treatment
Said Zytiga and Apalutamide would not be effective because of cross resistance and does not recommend
Provenge
. Based on articles I have read I told him to try adding Indomethacin and Ranolazine.to his current treatment. His last PSA was .9 and the pain in his hip is gone. So far looks promising.

You never know
In all I had a prosectomy, 2 different hormone treatments, 2 radiation treatments then
provenge
immunology therapy. Next I did taxotre chemo and was on a oral chemo. I was getting sicker everyday while my PSA was under20. I could not use my right hand to write or even eat.

Doctor wants to move on to Provenge.
It's been a year on ADT so doc said he thinks I should move on to
Provenge
immunotherapy once MRI results come back. I feel good other than the back problems. Any thoughts and or experience with
Provenge
would be appreciated. I also asked if the ADT. Would be continued and the answer was yes .

Hi from USA. Anyone on Provenge?
Anyone on
Provenge
, the DNA based vaccine? Might start soon. Problems with it? Downsides? Upsides? Preparation complexities?

Apalutamide
(Erleada) Might start it, not
Provenge
, in Feb. if chest&full-body CT scans in a week don't show metastesizing. Problems with it? Downsides? Upsides? Preparation complexities? My stats: Diagnosed 13 years ago at age 59 with inoperable irradiatable (due2Porphyria) PCa - PSA was 23 in 2006.

The Cleveland Clinic Sucks
As far as
Provenge
goes he wants me to drop Xtandi and go back on Lupron until it fails and I am castrate resistant. When my PSA reaches 2 call him back and they will do a scan and then prescribe
Provenge
.

Fifth year of my battle
I had Da Vinci surgery, 39 radiation treatments, been on Eligard since the fall of 2016,
Provenge
in the spring of 2018 and now on Xytiga and prednisone. What a ride! My reason for posting today; Does anyone else get an increased level of anxiety following the Eligard injections?

To T or not to T?
Only "
Provenge
is in your future." Trying to get primary dr. to prescribe metformin and a statin. He won't bite on testosterone test. Says not needed. See MO in a week. Will ask her about testosterone test. So, am I getting less than Standard of Care?

Thoughts on Provenge?
During my follow-up visit on Friday, I was offered an opportunity to participate in a research study on using
Provenge
to treat low-risk early stage PCa. I haven't researched
Provenge
yet, though I know it's immunotherapy. [I'm T1c, Gleason 6, 60% in one biopsy core, PSA 6].

.5, .8, 1.0, 1.3 - Stay the Course?
Already did Chemo and
Provenge
. Original four bone mets when first diagnosed 2.5 years ago are not growing and have diminished with treatment. No pain.

Provenge - is it worth it?
"Immunotherapies have so far been disappointing for PC, except for
Provenge
. But some are doubtful that even
Provenge
really has a benefit." Quoted from Tall_Allen. Second time I've seen Tall_Allen question

FYI
Then took Lupron and got it down to 2.4 psa, then February 2018 it went to 8psa, then to 16 psa, then took
provenge
and jumped to 64 psa. Got on zytiga in September and went to MD Anderson and bone scan showed 10 lesions metastasized to bone and in my ribs and spine.

On Zytiga but PSA still Climbing
I already did chemo and
Provenge
two years ago. Also been taking Lupron and Xgeva for past two years. No bone pain, three small mets. I think I’ve received all available treatment short of radiation and/or removal which my docs are not recommending. Anyone know of other options?

Starting Provenge tomorrow
The central line goes in bright & early, then the collection starts midday. They say it can provide a good benefit if done when the PSA is low. But we'll see if it can make a dent in my Gleason 10. Little to lose by trying. I just took my last shower for November. Nothing else to say about it, really
