I did Provenge. I believe it helped, but that can’t be proven for an individual. The trials showed value in the group.

The Full Prescribing Information (Sections 12 and 14) has some reported findings from the original Studies on Provenge that were the basis of the US FDA Approval. Some 341 men in various stages of disease got Provenge vs. 171 controls.

Other anecdotal stories from men here who have taken Provenge might also be found using the Search Box at the upper right of the screen.

Sequencing xtandi after zytiga, Medonc said only 10% chance it would work due to cross resistance. I have been on it one year and seven month. Started six months after finishing Provenge, which is when T cells are trained to attack cancer cells.so timing was right. So I give credit to Provenge. Scan was clear after 12 months.

This is a good article that explains how nobody really knows on an individual basis if Provenge is having benefit: ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articl...
