Had an appointment with consultant this week, suddenly had a cancellation when I threatened them with pals!!! My Dr and himself have sorted meds change from pain management, nortriptyline 75 my at night and pregabalin 50mg 3 X a day, this one is new to me. Hopefully this will help pain and sleep. He said I've definitely got Nash, not sphincter of Oddi. He told me that I would more than likely need a transplant in the future. Was going to admit me but then decided he wanted to have an mrcp within the next 4 weeks to test for strictures and to still see him on the 1st February. Wont tell me what his plans are until I've had mrcp. You all take care. Lots of love Lynne xxxx
Hi Lynne, glad you managed to get a cancellation! I'm also waiting for one, hoping my gp will intervene and get me seen sooner, its a 28 week wait down here in Devon for a 1st appointment!
Not had the nortriptyline, but I am on Pregabalin 75mgs twice a day. I find it really helps with my pain levels overall, I hope it suits you and helps. Hopefully it will also help with your sleep. Good Luck with the mrcp I hope that goes well for you.
Thank you so much. Hope you manage to get your appointment sooner. Getting your GP to intervene is a good idea. Have you got the name of your consultant, if you have, you could phone his secretary or get your GP to phone up. Hope you feel better soon. Please take care. Lots of love Lynne xxxx
Just to let you no that I'm thinking of you and I do feel hopeless as the tiredness upon the pain upon pain I have and wish I could help with an advice .
I hope that you get sorted out and thankyou for all your support.
