Elevated CRP
Well, the good news just continues. After finding out via email that I have ckd I finally set down to look at the rest of my results. My C-reactive protein test seems to be extremely elevated at 12.8. Could this be because of my kidney disease?? Cholesterol number are fine. Tryglicerides just a little

Mirena Coil
Could anyone give me some advice about mirena coil. I’ve been offered that or prostap injections and I’m unsure which one is better. I have endo and adenomyosis. I get quite bad migraines when my hormone levels are raised and I’m worried about the mirena coil as it releases hormones all the time. Any

Dry mouth
I had my first Prostap injection 2 weeks ago. The last couple of days I’ve had a dry tongue at the sides. I think this is a menopause symptom. Any advice on how to make it go away? Even water feels dry!

I'm new here... this much I know, PMR under 50 is not the norm but NOT impossible!
I don't know how I found this group but I'm so glad I did. I live in a small town in South Central Alaska with very few support groups of any kind let alone one for PMR patients. I read someone's post several nights ago and was too tired to comment. They talked about being under 50 and docs not treating

Any idea what's next?
Hi everyone. Endo confirmed last November - textbook symptoms. I'm due to have my first op sometime after September, in the mean time they've been trying to stop me from coming on. Contraceptive pills don't work, contraceptive injection has not worked, prostap is awful. Just wondered if anyone had any

Low serum free thyroxine level is correlated with lipid profile in depressive patients with suicide attempt
I really don't know what to say about this abstract. Unless I am getting it entirely wrong, don't total cholesterol and triglycerides tend to rise with low FT4? Anyway, it has certainly previously been reported that it is vital to consider the possibility of statins causing or worsening depression

Seeing NHS Consultant at Private hospital & symptoms worry
Probably a lot to take in here! I had a lap 2.5 yrs ago at a BSGE Centre, I was diagnosed as having pelvic congestion (ovary, vein and fallopian tube removed), endo in the Pouch of Douglas and adhesions all of which were removed. Prior to the op I had 3 months of ProStap which didn't do anything. The

What options do I have left?
So I had a laparoscopy to remove by helica stage 4 endo on my uterus, ovaries, cervix and pouch of Douglason as well as a chocolate cyst on my right ovary. At the same time they did a hysteroscopy to remove a ‘whopping’ submucosal fibroid from my uterus. This was on 31/1/18. 10 days later I ended up

First Prostap done
Thought I was having Zoladex injection today but ended up with Prostap. Is there much of a difference between the two? I have my add back hrt at the ready. My doctor told me some women like to wait before taking it to see if their menopausal symptoms at bad. Has anyone else waited to take the hrt?
