Probably a lot to take in here!
I had a lap 2.5 yrs ago at a BSGE Centre, I was diagnosed as having pelvic congestion (ovary, vein and fallopian tube removed), endo in the Pouch of Douglas and adhesions all of which were removed. Prior to the op I had 3 months of ProStap which didn't do anything. The agreement was if the op did nothing that the Dr would have to do a hysterectomy. After the op everything was great and I was led to believe I had only the teeniest chance of a recurrence given my age and the fact I would take the pill.
I have started back with symptoms again, it started with odd bouts of pain which I was writing off as tummy bugs, something I ate, stress, pulled muscles. Over the past month the pain has rapidly escalated to the point where I have a constant ache and pressure in my pelvis, leaning more to the right groin. Add to this blinding spasms through by abdomen across from hip to hip and around my left side. Sometimes these last for a few minutes and other times hours. I am figuring this is adhesions on my bowel again. Has anyone else deteriorated this quickly? I am taking painkillers (CoCodamol or Tramadol) daily. I am now taking the mini pill and have not had a period since Jan. After the op I tried several mini pills and had issues and bleeding on all and had to take a combined pill for 3 months to clear up the severe acne one of the pills gave me. I am assuming the bleeding has caused the regrowth.
I was booked to the endo centre by my GP but in the middle of a holiday so when I tried to change with the centre they couldn't and referred me back to the GP saying to get them to look at the NHS Clinic Dr holds at a private hospital. I have now got an appointment in 1 month Does it make any difference seeing the Dr there in that he can get scans and things done on the spot or will it be like a usual appointment of just a chat and a booking of scans and treatments?
Sorry for long post. Been up all night in pain and worrying.
