Newly diagnosed and looking for advice....
If that is the case he would strongly suggest a radical
prostatectomy
. I find out the results of this testing in May. Questions… Should I still send the cores to Dr. Epstein even though I’m having the genetic testing done? I am leaning towards focal ablation such as HIFU, TULSA PRO, or FLA.

PSA tests--Total vs. Ultrasensitive after radical prostatectomy
It has been ten years since I had a radical
prostatectomy
(with negative margins). At my surgeon's suggestion, I have had yearly "total" PSA tests since then but not since 2019 so I'm overdue.

There IS Life after Prostate Cancer
It has been 16 years for me with 3 surgeries,( a
prostatectomy
, and TWO Cryo-ablations) 38 sessions of Radiation, and several years of Lupron. If anyone has questions, just ask. I am a Cancer Advocate for a local Cancer Hospital.

Gary's Case
On January 28th my oncologist said I had prostate cancer and needed to have a
prostatectomy
within 3 months. My Gleason score is 3+3=6, my biopsy should 2 positive samples out of 12 with less then 2% in one and less then 10 % in another.

Strong Family History Question
Given this steep family history that I have , and the 4+3 cells , would a radical-
Prostatectomy
be a good option. I am 57 years old . Maybe I should post my Biopsy ....wasn't great ! :( .

Post Prostatectomy: things other than cancer
Finally, at 3 weeks I also had my first post-
prostatectomy
orgasm. I may not have even thought of it, if it hadn't been for this group. It is weird: soft and with no ejaculate.

Report about Prostatectomy
Hi guys Since I last wrote, I had a robotic
prostatectomy
, and just today my catheter was removed (much to my relief). Obviously haven’t had my first PSA test, but I thought I’d update you on the results from the operation. They weren’t as good as I’d hoped: pT3, N0, M0, GG2, PSA<10.
