I have been on Eligard for several years with no leg pain. I had double knee replacement 6 years ago and doing well. Do you have an Oncologist you trust and what does the Oncologist say about your leg pain? That is why they get the big bucks!
The leg pain is in both legs, kind of in the bone and joins. Also in the muscle. It is worse at night. Fatigue makes it worse. Mostly in the thighs. Sometimes I get sharp cramps. Rump area also.
Elevating my legs seems to help. I have stopped taking calcium. I love sardines, canned and fresh.
My husband started having similar pain this winter after his Moderna vaccine. His PC doc thinks it's related to the inflammatory effects of the vaccination, and prescribed additional prednisone. Heat seems to really help: hot baths & heating pad are both effective. Cannabis also really helps loosen tight muscles, although the relief is short-lived.
Interesting. Our primary care doc said he's been seeing some really weird reactions to the vaccine and was not terribly surprised.
You said: "The last shot was about 10 before..." did you mean ten days?
My husband's pain started a few days after his first shot, started to diminish a couple weeks alter, then flared up MUCH worse after the second shot. He has a history of osteoarthritis in his hips, which is where the pain is coming from: pain and stiffness in groin, hips, and down his legs. Heat, movement, cannabis all help.
I meant to write I got the vaccine ten days before the leg pain. So I may mostly ruled out the 'rona vaccine as the cause of the leg pain. The ADT has many side effects, body pain, dizziness, gastric, fatigue, brain fog.
Updating: I tried these actions. And pain got better. Stopped taking pill form calcium, taking pill form Magnesium, drops of CBD, ibuprofen, cannabis in the evening.
My girlfriend had is a dinosaur of a massager. This seemed to have the most effect.Vibrate down to the bone!
Glad you're getting some relief from the pain, hope it continues to improve.
Have you told your doctor about this? If it's a suspected vaccine-related issue your doc should file a report with the CDC's Vaccine Adverse Event Reporting System (VAERS)
FWIW, one of the topics that came up with my oncologist is the calcium blood test. It seems your body will maintain a more or less constant level of blood calcium, independent of whether you have an excess or deficit. A lot of blood levels are that way. They aren't good indications of whether you need supplementation or not.
It sort of makes sense: calcium, magnesium, sodium, potassium, etc., etc. all affect osmotic pressure and if the blood levels aren't carefully controlled bad things will happen.
Hi..I understand this post is years old but if you see it very curious of your symptoms and what "pain" meant in your case.
I am having hell of a time at night and especially when I try to go to sleep. But, I don't know if it is pain or I might describe it is as intense restlessness.
Hi Yziner, Night pain is difficult. Anti inflammatory meds and supplements, cannabis and CBC can help. Small pillows under the legs and between the arms can help. And exercise during the day.
