time to reach undetectable PSA after prostate removal
All, I am nervous about my post RALP PSA results reaching an undetectable level and wondering if anything has been published in this matter. For context, I am 65 and was diagnosed G8 with ECE and elected to have surgery which occurred on June 23rd. The surgery pathology indicated clean margins and no

My husband has been rediagnosed with NMPC he is on ADT which is holding the Testosterone very low but psa shot upto 82. New MO is starting Enzalutimide plus continuing ADT. Not looking forward to the side effects, but will perservere until psa drops. We have been discussing using Estradiol to help

Surgical Castration ?
I have been on Eligard for two months. Prior to starting ADT my Triglycerides were 100 (May 2023). After only two months of Eligard they are thru the roof (495). Since I have metastatic PC they tell me that I will be on ADT for life. I am considering surgical orchiectomy since there are fewer metabolic

Pluvicto pain
my father has undergone 3 infusions of Pluvicto. He has psma and fdg completed with no significant discordance. I understand tumour flare tends to occur within the first week after infusion but he tends to have more discomfort towards the end of the cycle. We aren’t sure if it’s bone pain or muscle

First post and learning as much as possible
Hi My husband is 59 and I have added as much info to my Bio as possible about him and this journey. We just found out yesterday that he is BRCA2 positive from blood germline testing. This is the first time I have posted but I have been reading everything several times a day for a few months now. He

What Helps Me With Hypochondria
Like many of you, my OCD often takes the form of hypochondria. I can't tell you the number of times I thought I was dying or the number of times I went to see a doctor because of some minor symptom. I've developed some coping strategies which helped me. I thought I'd share them here. 1. No checking

Targeting Mets w SBRT- what’s your experience?
Have any of you guys had any luck targeting distant metastases with SBRT after your mets remained small or dormant while on ADT but after PSMA scans had showed more in number than olago (more than five mets)? My PSMA scan in January 2022 showed 10 scattered small mets so our area SBRT (Cyberknife) radiation

What category of Intermediate Risk Am I?
I am trying to make a decision regarding HT with RT. I am 78. I have CKD 3b, and a solitary kidney. I am 6.5 years in remission from UTUC kidney cancer. A number of papers indicate that HT could be detrimental to my kidney. Those with FIR PCa could avoid HT with little risk. The following is defined

how long typically does it take from diagnosis to treatment?
Hello, my father was just diagnosed with advanced aggressive prostate cancer Gleason 9-10 (TBC). Bone scan and CT scan are next to check for spread (please God it hasn’t), but the scans are not for another 2.5 weeks! Then follow-up to discuss results a full week after that. Which seems insane that we

Psa is back
Well I made it to 27 months of upsa testing after my surgery and went from <0.01 to my first detectable of 0.01. Don’t know what this means but I guess the next few upsa tests will be telling. Maybe a lab variation maybe not.

My initial MRI and wait time for biopsy
Just got my MRI. PSA rising slowly for 3 years from 4.0 to 5.1. The MRI indicates a pi-Rad level 4 lesion 10 ml, well defined with no infiltration. Either base peripheral zone 11 to 12 o clock or transitional mid gland zone 11 to 12 o clock. Will get the location cleared up. I have an MRI fusion

Switch from Lupron/abi to Orgovyx/abi?
As I approaching my third 3 month shot of Lupron I wonder if Orgo might push out my time fence to MCRP more than Lupron, but I don't see anything on it. Lupron/abi dropped my PSA and TT very quickly so that is not an advantage, but the side effects are considered to be less - though my side effects

PSA Follow up
Had an appointment with my urologist today. PSA is still 0.00. Obviously I’m thrilled. He said that since I’m 3 years out from RT and 4 years from RP, he’s comfortable with seeing me annually because my PSA has been stable at 0.00 for three years. I told him I thought I’d feel better waiting until

Treatment decision made
Decided to go the treatment route, took me a while but AS is no good mentally, PSA has crept up from 4.2 to 5.1 in 18 months, awaiting appt date with oncologist.Presumably SBRT as per discussion when diagnosed in autumn '22, will be at Christies Manchester. Will keep folk posted. Removal of the offending
