Hi all, I've experienced a lot of hair loss over the past 6 weeks since being issued with crescent pharma 25mcg levothyroxine tablets (previously either teva or wockhardt which I've been OK on). I take 87.5mcg levo daily, so a 50mcg accord tablet, plus 1 and a half 25mcg tablets. Has anyone else experienced any issues with crescent pharma? Any noticeable changes to blood test results? Thank you 😊

when did you last test thyroid levels and iron and ferritin levels too

Hair loss often low iron/ferritin

Thyroid was tested in July. My iron ferritin levels have been OK in the past. It seemed to be a fairly sudden occurrence, lasted several weeks, but is beginning to settle down now. Maybe I was low in something and just coincided with the crescent pharma change

Well it definitely could be the change in brand

Retest vitamin levels at least annually

Just a minor observation, you could also achieve 87.5 by taking a 50 and splitting a 75! Which might open up alternatives.

If you feel there is a real difference, I encourage you to put in your own Yellow Card report.

A good idea to discuss with your prescriber and pharmacist - if they are amenable!

Hi started taking crescent a few weeks ago after getting medication from on line pharmacy Use to get Teva from Boots Noticed Since taking Crescent my hair has become thinner
