TURP scheduled tomorrow - concerns
Hi everyone, have this op planned for Monday in UK and wondering if it will help me. I can pee about 50% flow these days and the main reason they want to do it is to get a tissue sample for the Royal Marsden so they can genetically sequence the disease and see if I qualify for any drug trials (no biopsy

Enzalutamide is sapping my energy and spirit
Been on this drug for 4 months and PSA is still rising past 100 (at much slower rate though). I also hate how I feel on it - really yucky, super fatigued and brain fogged (nasal blockage issues too). All this only really started in the past 6 weeks or so. Also finding exercise extremely difficult - steady

Complete blockage, need TURP
2 months after HIFU, I woke up and went to pee and only drops came out. This went on for a few days then I went to urgent care. Skipping past the horrible care by doctors in Vegas, I returned to my HIFU doctor in Los Angeles who scoped it and found a blockage and recommended TURP. That is scheduled for

PSA dropped to 0.17. Doctor decided to reduce Casodex to 50mg. Even though PSA in January 2018 was 0.53

Need help with Lupron question
As some of you know I’m Gleason 3+4. Will have TURP in August and then 28 sessions of proton therapy starting in November. My close friend was diagnosed 4+3 shortly after. He’s being told by 3 oncologists (IMRT/proton) that it would be best to do 4 months of Lupron plus the radiation. Other testing

TURP and Enzalutamide advice
Hi everyone, I'm dealing with widespread metastatic PCa at 50 years old, diagnosed last Aug. I'm on Enzalutamide now (plus Lupron since Oct) but not responding very much after almost 3 months 😔. PSA still rising (84 last week, up from 72)... also... really feel like crap a lot of the time on this second-line

Weight loss - freaking out
My father lost almost 4kg in one month, with no change in diet, apetite or treatment, I'm freaking out. Of course I will make a doctors appointment the first thing tomorrow morning but I'm so scared. He is skinny by nature: only had 68kg, now to 64kg. History: diagnosed during turp procedure in Semptember

Muscle atrophy
My father experiences muscle atrophy. His whole life he was skinny (he can eat whatever he liks but never gains weight), but had muscles. Now that summer is coming and he is wearing short sleaves, I noticed his arms and chest became very weak. He was diagnosed in September 2016 after TURP procedure

BPH Newbie
Hi, I have had BPH for a number of years, things have got steadily worse to the point where I was having difficulty passing urine, although it took a while I got there in the end, this had become the norm for me and I had learned to live with it. Lately, urination had become harder so I saw my GP and

Prostectomy possible after radiation
I was diagnosed for stage 4 prostate cancer with iliac lymph node involvement (Gleason 5+4) in 2015 at the age of 60. My urologist told me radical prostectomy is not possible because the cancer has already spread out of the capsule to nearby areas. Instead of radical prostectomy he did TURP. Started

TURP
About time bark in proton therapy (well pretty sure anyway) and my urologist says I need a TURP for my BPH. I’m sure I do need but hers my question. I know everyone says definitely get TURP prior to conventional external beam therapy in order to minimize adverse effects urinating during treatment plus

Introduction and how to take a short cut to maPc and a very rare Prostate Cancer
I am 81 year old who has gone from being, supposedly, free of Pc in May 2016 to having Pc Gleason 3+4=7 in June and then Gleason 4+5=9 with metastases in August 2017. In 2014 I had a DRE and Ultrasound of the bladder which were clear so went on medication (Flowmaxtra) to improve my peeing. I has PSAs

Hi all. My father (76 years old) is on casodex monotherapy. This is quite common theraphy in our parts of the world - they use it untill it works, than they add Lupron. He Gleason is 7 (4+3, tumor present in 10% of tissue evaluated (it was discovered during TURP procedure, stage 2b) and has been on Casodex
