Sensitive*Transfer fail indication?

Hi all

If a transfer fails would the woman still come on her period even if still on progesterone? Also would she feel anything to indicate that it had failed? E.g pain etc?

I think everyone is different is the best answer I can give you.

In my failed cycles, the progesterone didn't stop my cycle starting but I've heard of others it did. In my second transfer that failed, I did know it had failed early because I had heavy period like bleeding (pretty conclusive) but no other signs.

Also I have had 2 pregnancies and one chemical pregnancy from ivf transfers and can honestly say there were no indications that these cycles were different to the others that failed in terms of symptoms.

In fact the only round I was convinced had worked and had loads of symptoms, was a flat out bfn with not a hint of a positive.

best of luck

I agree with Kittykat, nothing seems conclusive unfortunately. I had a chemical on the first transfer and started bleeding before the test date. The other 3 transfers were all BFN and I didn't bleed on any of them until after I stopped the progesterone. I had a variety of symptoms too.

Thanks for all your replies. I tested today and the result line is so faint. On way to clinic to find out what happening. I think i already know the answer. A lot to process at mo. X

It really depends on how much progesterone you are on. My first transfer I bled early so the next time they upped it and I didn't.

If you've got a faint line that is a good sign - it might be that it implanted late. Do you have a pic? xx

every person and transfer is different. I’ve started periods while still on progesterone and I’ve also had it delay things even though negative. Sometimes you know it’s failed as you feel your period starting and sometimes you don’t. Sometimes you think it’s failed and it hasn’t. Sometimes you bleed and it’s not a period. The only way to truly know is taking the test I’m afraid. X

Hi, I had 4 failed transfers. The first one I started my period a few days before official test day. I was on 2x Cyclogest a day. The next 3 they upped my Cyclogest to x3 a day and I didn’t start until a few days after I stopped the Cyclogest. My 5th transfer worked and I had spotting despite being pregnant and in Cyclogest x
