The CRP:Albumin ratio & CRPC Survival
New paper from Portugal below [1]. Here is another study showing the consequences of subclinical inflammation. The inflammation markers used were C-reactive protein [CRP] & albumin. {The useful Modified Glasgow Prognostic Score uses the same markers, but in a cruder way.} It is always better

Era cancelled, convert to timed intercourse 🤯 fed up
Hi all, long time no speak! To be honest I've been a bit down in the dumps after my last failed cycle and finding it hard to face the reality of being 42 and running out of time. Haven't been on this forum much as just needed a break, I know you all get it. Before I made any more decisions, I wanted

Oestrogen tablets/medicated FET for APS?
Hi there, I’m due to see my fertility consultant about a new IVF cycle. I had done medicated FETs before (all failed) but now that I’ve been diagnosed with Antiphospholipid Syndrome, I’ve read that I should stay away from oestrogen tablets as they double the risk of blood clots. Has anyone with APS

2nd FET for a sibling tested this morning dead early at 4.45! As I was awake , a day early due to having a very busy day tomorrow. Tested negative! But wasn’t the best wee in the world. I guess will just have to test again. had most of the same symptoms as my positive which ended in a MC. I am so

Sore throat 1dp5dt (FET)
Hi guys, So I feel like I’m going nuts… I’ve had a verrry slight sore throat in the few days leading up to my 2nd FET. Nothing bad, I swear I had it leading up to my first FET in December (I was so worried about getting covid and it being cancelled). But of course both times it was not covid so have

Is this PMR?
Hello I'm new to this site and to the world of PMR. Hoping to get some guidance from this lovely community. My GP has diagnosed me with PMR at 42 and I'm not entirely convinced as I don't fit the symptoms of aches and stiffness in the shoulders and hips. This all started in March 23 where I woke

Endometriosis/Adenomyosis Successful Embryo Transfer after Prostap

Why am I spotting on much higher progesterone dose?
Hi everyone, I hope those of you in 2ww are holding up. Just wondered if anyone has had similar experiences and can offer some hope or ideas on what I can ask clinic.... Opinions/experiences with endometrial scratch and/or embryo glue
1 failed fresh transfer 8th June. 2 frozen 5 day embryos left. Aside from treating it as a numbers game and just looking after myself and doing it again normally, I wanted to know others experiences with additional treatments. Looking to have an assisted natural FET in August provided my cycle plays

Delay cycle to allow extra month of supplements at 43?
I am shortly going to be starting a fresh cycle after my last FET ended in an early miscarriage. I started taking egg quality supplements about a month ago, and had been expecting a long protocol, with egg collection in about 7 weeks, which would mean I’d had almost three months of supplements. I’ve

Hair Laser removal- transfer
Hi, I have tried researching everywhere but there is lack of information available but was wondering if anyone else has had hair laser removal before their embryo transfer? I know that you can’t get it done during pregnancy/after transfer so looking to get it done prior. E.g a week before. Thanks

embryo transfer 2nd time didn’t work - feeling sad 😢
Hi everyone, so I found out after the 2 week wait that it didn’t work. This is the second time with IVF. 1st cycle was nearly 2yrs ago under NHS which was awful, no care & second time around with a private clinic in South London (very friendly clinic & good pricing for IVF) but after 2 egg collections

Maca Root Supplement
I finished Proton Therapy for Gleason 9 Prostate cancer on December 2, 2022. This included six months of androgen deprivation therapy that ended December 15, 2022. Is there any danger to my prostate if I begin taking Maca Root supplement?

first ivf failure - embryo didn't implant - no fertility issues. help :(
Hello Our cycle seemed to be 'perfect' 3 blastos with good grades so transferred 1 on day 5 Took vitamins for 6 months prior, non smokers, no alcohol for 6 months, healthy diet Tested negative every day since day 5 so appears that the little guy didn't even implant at all. We are in a same sex couple
