independent fertility advice any suggestions?
Hi everyone, Hope you’re all ok. We have just completed our second round of IVF ICSI which was unsuccessful. Our clinic is advising that we just do the same again. I don’t think that’s the best option as we’ve done the same protocol twice and hasn’t been successful. I want to speak to a specialist who

Pregnant with untested embryo/blastocyst, gives me a lot of anxiety
Hi ladies, It is me again... Long story short, I am 9 week pregnant after multiple failed IVFs and years of trying to conceive (I am turning 40 years old next month). I find this journey extremely nerve wrecking and stressful, it never gets easy, every milestone a new worry comes up. So new concern

Recurrent implantation failure - please give me hope
Hello my lovely support team. I'll try and keep this rotten history of mine very very brief.......43 years old, all embryos created between 40-42. Trying since I was 36. Just one natural chemical at 41yo. So far, 5 failed transfers of 6 good-decent embryos. All bfn, no chemicals or anything else. 4 collections

Preparing for 2nd cycle
We have just had our first cycle of IVF/ICSI. Unfortunately this failed with a chemical pregnancy and did not get any frosties. We will have our review appointment with the consultant in due course. The nurse has said it will be 6 months before we can try again. Is this a standardised time scale or clinic

No vaccine this year
Hi Hope everyone is well. The covid vaccines for this autumn is recommended for over 65s. I have had the 4 jabs but this autumn there is to be no jab. I take a preventer(morning and evening), but not on any steroid tablets etc. My understanding is if your under 65(I am 51), and not on steroid tablets

Pessaries versus injections
Hi there on my last icsi cycle I tried the injections instead of the pessaries and felt they worked better. We are due to try our third and probably last cycle of icsi at the end this month and the doctor has prescribed pessaries again. I advised I’d had injections last time and found them better and

So much confusion so much pain
I tell you I struggle every day. I look at pics of my wife from this time last year, 2 years ago 3 years ago. My wife was never a drinker. We had a glass of wine at Thanksgiving and Christmas. Every now and then, maybe once or twice a year. She would have a drink at our friends. When we moved

Symptoms reduced
I am 6 weeks and 2 days pregnant, the past week I have add extreme nausea and tiredness but yesterday I feel like it almost disappeared and this morning I don’t feel half as bad when I’ve woke up . This is my first pregnancy through ICSI and I don’t really know what to expect. I’m worried something is

*****SENSITVE POST*****
I've never been so utterly heartbroken in all my life, been for a 9 week 5 day scan today and there is no heartbeat 💔! We went through icsi treatment our first ever one, and at the end we got a positive, went for a scan at our fertility clinic and could see a heartbeat but was measuring a week behind

Endo help
hi all, hope you’re well. I’m definitely repeating myself here (sorry), but looking for some reassurance 💛 As a back story, I’m 36, have endometriosis and 3 x failed rounds of ivf/icsi which includes 2 x transfers (top quality) and 4 pgta tested abnormal embryos. A recent MRI also shows fibroids,

No positive ovulation test?
We seem to be the poster couple for strange situations in our IVF/ICSI journey. For context - Following my previous posts (1 failed fresh transfer overlapping into a failed natural pregnancy) we were given the option of natural or medicated for our next transfer (embryo 2 of 4). We opted for natural

failure....
Hi ladies, this is my first time posting on here, and its a bit of a long one, sorry. We had a transfer on the 20th April, however this ended in a chemical pregnancy. Had lots (and LOTS) of positive tests, but never any progression. To say we were devastated would be an understatement. I already

Vaginal microbial test -two bacteria are higher. Any experience with treatment, recovery and impact on ivf/icsi ?
Hi all, I performed a vaginal microbiome test and the results show a higher level of Prevotella bivia and Ureaplasma urealyticum. Since these bacteria can have a negative impact on fertility ( implantation failure, bacterial vaginosis, sperm health), yesterday I contacted my consultant and today I

Hello everyone, I've had RA a number of years and been on MTX and hydroxychloroquine. I've had a cough since April following a cough virus. I've now connected it to MTX as the cough goes when I stop MTX for covid and flu injections. Anyone else had this?I've contacted the doctor who is now writing

Carnosine as potential initial PCa treatment
Researchers have discovered that a naturally-occurring molecule could potentially be an effective first line of treatment against prostate cancer. Nottingham Trent University (NTU) scientists investigated the anti-cancer properties of carnosine, which can be produced in the body and is also found

Long Covid and vagus nerve inflammation - symptoms etc.
Hi everyone, It's a lovely sunny day here in Leeds and I've just had a 14 hour sleep. I hope you are all OK. Having had Covid whilst in hospital I'm interested in Long Covid and how its symptoms mirror those of Enc. Plus any findings on vax side effects. Some of you may share my curiosity so here is

anyone else had genetic testing?
Hi well I’m back after a long break after previously having 2 BFN when we tried donor eggs with icsi. We’ve saved up again and decided to give it one last shot and this time the consultant recommended we try genetic screening before having any embryos implanted. Just wondered if there is anyone else
