Return of PVCs and Flecainide as pill in pocket.
I was previously taking 100mg Flecainide twice a day along with 1.25mg bisoprolol in the mornings for episodes of PACs and occasional PVCs. I was on this medication for almost 2 years before deciding that I would like to try and come off it. My cardiologist advised me how to slowly withdraw and I have

From the depths of despair, there is hope
Hi I have written a couple of posts on here but just want to update you re my progress to demonstrate how, with determination, you can turn things around. To summarise, last May/June I was hospitalised for over5 weeks. My drinking had slowly increased, (though I had always liked a drink) following

Multiple unsuccessful ablations.
Has anyone had 5 or more ablations? I’ve had 5 and still having pvcs and afib. 3 were at Cleveland Clinic.

Hashimotos for Sixteen Years, Realizing I Know Next to Nothing
This is a long story, and as with so much in this "we have too much info" age, I'm probably over-responding, but, I was recently blindsided by a new health condition, and I don't fancy having it happen again if there are cues available. I've had hypothyroidism/Hashimotos for 16-17 years, at least based

I have had long term UTIs arising post radiation therapy. I also have bile salts malabsorption which causes bowel issues so it’s not always easy to keep myself as clean as I would like and I have been told this is likely to be the cause of the repeated UTIs Up until recently for approx 6 years

TIPS Procedure
Hi wonderful community. My question is: Has anyone had a TIPS procedure without having a gastric or esophageal bleed or without HE, ascites or any other of the many conditions associated with cirrhosis? Currently have cirrhosis, enlarged spleen(14.5 cm) and grade 4 both esophageal and gastric varices

Pulsed Field Ablation in Australia
I just had my six-month checkup with my electrophysiologist. He was quite excited as our local hospital is commissioning a pulsed-field ablation system in 4 weeks time. Much safer than RF or Cryoablation. This video from Medtronic explains the pulsed field technology: https://youtu.be/rH8SvEq398M I

Ablation/S-ICD Recovery Time - why is it taking so long?
Bit of a long one… Hi all, I’m currently recovering from a 4 week hospital stay and struggling with the recovery period. I was admitted for investigation due to a high burden of PVCs which were making me very symptomatic. I had a previous diagnosis of low burden of PVCs, as well as mild dilated cardiomyopathy

I had an AFIB incident picked up on an Apple Watch. At an appointment I was given an instant ECG showing no afib and then a 24 hour halter also showing no afib. I bought a wearable ECG device and I wore it for pretty much a year and I’ve had no incident of afib, but plenty of pacs and PVCs. An EKG showed

Covid, AKI and liver damage
Has anyone else had Covid and ended up with liver damage, acute kidney injury and nearly died from kidney and liver nigh on failure. I am just wondering if Covid can worsen internal organs, cause double pneumonia and I end up in a coma for nearly 5 weeks. The main question I am trying to find out is

Hubby recently diagnosed but virtually at the end stage
Hi there. I’m not sure where to start. So my hubby was diagnosed with non alcoholic liver cirrhosis and spent 3 weeks in hospital. Half on ICU where I work and then half on the liver ward. Despite being on diagnosed 4 weeks ago he is quite far down the line of the condition. Jaundice ascities sepsis

nhs job scared colleagues will find out I have cirrhosis.
hi . I’m becoming more and more worried that once I’m called for my first surveillance of my chirrhosis that I’ll know the doctor and people there as I k ow a lot of the staff in the hospital. I’m wondering if there’s any way I could ask for my scans elsewhere? Tia

Been having panic attacks and severe anxiety for a few months. Started of that I noticed pvc, and they where many. Did all the heart checks, and had 12% when tested. Eventually the doctors couldn't find anything wrong even though i had chest pains, diziness, fatigue, attacks every single day. But all

Question about “other arrhythmia”.
my Kardia is giving all sorts of new readings since my flair up, ectopy, wide qrs, pvc, pac basically everything BUT NOT SO MUCH AF. do you have other arrhythmia? if so how does it affect you? for me it’s just as uncomfortable as the regular af
