So confused as to what to do now - more/ less DHEA/ pregnenolone or something else. Feeling a bit better but not right. What do you suggest.

I'm taking ACE and pregnenolone but honestly can't say that it's helping at all, my temps are all over the place, I feel cold as soon as ambient temps are not hot or if I'm not moving.

In the steroidogenesis cascade, andro can be produced from progesterone, or from pregnenolone-->DHEA. As such, production is inhibited by Abiraterone (which targets the enzyme that acts on progesterone and pregnenolone.)

I’m on 2 grains of NDT and I also take Q10, B12, vit d, vit c, magnesium, selenium, HCL with betaine, pregnenolone and a probiotic - no idea if any of these would affect my iron levels??

I was researching pregnenolone on the internet and came across this article. It may be of interest to anyone struggling with neuropathy. Pregnenolone is formed from cholesterol and is the precursor substance for numerous important endogenous hormones.

My alternative MD wants me to take these. Has anyone done so and will it be a good idea or a bad idea?

I went back to the book, re-read it, & bought Pregnenolone, Adrenavive 1 and Metavive 1 from Dr Myhills site. I now feel good. Not 100% yet, but better even than I did for the 3 weeks the T3 dose was effective. And I read all the clinical reviews that said it was all just mumbo-jumbo rubbish.

So my question is, would Pregnenolone be a better choice than DHEA? I have an appointment my a menopause specialist in a week and with my Endo in 3 weeks. Thank you

Recent blood test indicated very low pregnenolone and Iron. Pregnenolone is a pre curser to testosterone and may be a bad idea to supplement. RBC also quite low and was advised to do Iron infusion as iron supplements do not work for an 80 year old. Has anyone dealt with this ? Thanks
