Down to half a mg of Prednisolone daily, but what is this?
I am down to half a mg of Prednisolone daily, with hopes of being steroid free by the new year, but have been having shooting pains in fingers for the last couple if weeks. In the last few days has escalated to painful wrists and was hoping it was only arthritis! Started taking paracetamol, which helped

Hi, I am Mark, I am newly diagnosed with RA (July 2023). I am also lucky to have Trigeminal nerve pain and Angioedema, so I must have upset someone in a previous life. I am learning a lot about this illness, and I am now in the hands of the NHS. I take Methotrexate, Prednisolone and Hydroxychloroquine

Advice on medication
Over the last couple of weeks I have had pains in my stomach and for longer than that regular bladder problems. Always feeling I need to go to the toilet. I am on 3.5 mg of prednisolone and am wondering if it has anything to do with the other pills I am taking each day. 1 -20 mg omeprazole, 1 - 1000

Should I care Pred?
As a PMR sufferer, I’m wondering if it is a good idea to carry, say, 20mg of Prednisolone when out and about. I understand that a sudden flare or, worse, development of GCA symptoms, would make this a prudent course of action. Thx

Another anniversary
I still wake up every morning and take my Zytiga and my
prednisone
. I still go to my tri annual oncology appointment to receive my Eligguard and I still wait for those PSA test results to pop up in my electronic chart but other than that I just don't think about it much at all. .

Where should I go from here? Reduced by doc from 6 Pred to 2 and now suffering
Having been told by 3 doctors to try to get off Prednisolone so I could be assessed by specialist at hospital (as no doctor felt able to confirm I really had PMR although on steroids for 2 years!) I reduced from 6 to 2 Pred in 8 weeks. Result: much itching when reducing down from 4 to 3 and now, at 2

Lanzaprozole and magnesium deficiency
Hi all, I was diagnosed with GCA in 2018. With the help and support of this group I came through some tough times, and will always be grateful for that. After a very gradual taper, I have now completed 13 months without prednisolone, and, fingers crossed, the GCA is still quiet. I am still having sub-cutaneous

Adrenals
Morning everyone. This is my first post on here. I was diagnosed with GCA in August 2022 and have been tapering down the Prednisolone to 5mg. I also take Tocilizumab and Methotrexate as I’ve had a difficult time with the Prednisolone so many side effects. How do I know if my adrenal glands are working

Nasty fall and Lupus
hi all, I haven’t been writing on here for some time. On 6/7/23 I fell out of my disability stair lift from the top of our steep stairs at home! I flipped over, landed on my back and fell down the stairs and landed on the hallway floor on my head. I knocked myself out, fractured my skull, had a brain

Zytiga started
Although we are not completely convinced it is needed : PSA went from 2 to 3 immediately after 6 weeks radiation which we expected to happen, MO insists on us adding Zy and
prednisone
. I am trying to get a second opinion but I did start it about 2 weeks ago.

To walk or not to walk?
I've recently been diagnosed with PMR and started on 15mg of Prednisolone which has now been reduced to 12mg. The meds are defiitely working but the stiffness has come back over the last few days. Do people 'work through it' and move and exercise or rest? I've tried both, and the pain and stiffness seem

I was diagnosed with PMR in October last year started on 60 mgs prednisol which relieved my symptoms in 3 or 4 days.Started reducing by 10 mgs every 4 weeks in December. Saw the medicina interna (I live in Spain) in July this year who suggested GCA and increased my pred to 60 again reducing by 10 mgs

Xtandi after Zytiga
MO refusing to substitute dexa for
prednisone
with Abiraterone since it's not FDA approved. Convinced (?) him to wait 3 weeks (4/5) for blood test after radiation of only active met to check PSA which was 0.253 on 1/21 and 0.309 on 2/21. Hoping result lets me stay on Aba as long as possible.
