Can't squat or raise arms without pain?
I have tapered down to 1 mg
Prednisone
over three years (from 15mg). I have the same weird symptoms that I've always had. If I squat, my legs feel an extreme fatigue/deadness. I can't raise my arms for more than 15-20 seconds without them feeling an extreme fatigue/pain/deadness.

Flare Protocol
I just spent a month at 2.5 mg
prednisone
and was going to 2 mg when I started to notice more stiffness in my right wrist, lower back, shoulders and neck. This has gotten progressively worse over the last couple of weeks.

retiring: Anti-Rejection Megication Questions
I’m only taking Tacrolimus and
prednisone
at this point as far as anti-rejection meds go. My other meds all come through regular CVS and are fairly inexpensive with the exception of the insulin I now have to use post transplant.

Taper Complete…
I have stopped taking
prednisone
after 18 months of use and slowly reducing the dose. It has been just 2 weeks, so I know my PMR misadventure will still be ongoing. I am very grateful for the support and insight that I have received via this online group. I have been doing okay in terms of pain.

Was there ever really a chance for a cure?
When I began the Stampede protocol 1 1/2 yrs ago, it was my understanding that two years of Zytiga/
Prednisone
and three years of Lupon with radiation to the pelvic area at the 7 mo - 1 yr mark gave a chance for a "cure" under my conditions (3+4 gleason, etc).

They say the treatment isn't much different, and are starting meds with 7 days of Bicalutamide, then a shot of Leuprolide every 6 months along with Abiraterone and
Prednisone
daily. Radiation IGBT to follow in 3 months.

I’m at end stage emphysema have just come off a dose of
prednisone
. Felt halfway human and motivated to do small jobs around the house. It felt so good just to make us both a cup of tea What is the reason why GPS are against giving a small does daily just to be able to have some quality of life.

Lab Tests Indicate High Lipase
Has anyone taking
prednisone
and Actemra had a high lipase on their routine lab tests. I’m on 4 mg
prednisone
and bi-weekly injections of Actemra for GCA. I get lab tests every month, and the past several months Lipase is high (usually around 60-70).

Had the ablation.
On 7 mgm
prednisone
. The thought of GCA lurked in my head. Otherwise I feel quite well considering I'm soon to be 82. I add, that when the local anesthetist saw my pulmonary function tests he did not want to do the procedure but my daily exercise paid off.

Avacopan (Tavneos®) is accepted for use within NHSScotland.
In a phase III study, avacopan demonstrated non-inferiority to
prednisone
for remission at week 26, and was superior to
prednisone
for sustained remission at week 52 in patients with GPA or MPA.
