Are these symptoms typical 2 weeks post op?
I had my hysterectomy 2 1/2 weeks ago. I have had my uterus, cervix and fallopian tubes removed. I lost 1/2 litre of blood during surgery so I have been given ferrous sulfate to take for a month. Blood pressure is at the lower end of ok. But still, it's ok :) I have two questions... I am feeling dizzy

Pfizer vaccine after Shinrix
Hello everyone. I am looking for a little advice. I had a Shinrix shot Feb 17 and have a Pfizer COVID shot booked for tomorrow. On the consent form, there is a box to check if you have had another vaccine in the past 14 days. It never occurred to me that this might be an issue. I booked the COVID shot

Neck rash - what's causing it? What can ease it?
Hello, writing on behalf of my wife. She has a persistent (2+ years) neck rash which 'flares-up' from time to time. It's 'itchy' and uncomfortable. We've been to the doctor several times about the rash. Doc says nothing to worry about, just apply 'Simple' moisturiser. Medical history: Female aged 35

Iodine raises TSH
https://www.medpagetoday.com/infectiousdisease/covid19/91049 This is an interesting story about a small French randomized trial looking at using iodine mouthwash as a COVID-19 prevention. What's interesting is that participants in the intervention group "experienced a jump in thyroid-stimulating hormone

Shoulder pains?
Hey ladies, does anyone else suffer with bad shoulder and arm pain due to their endo? Since yesterday my right shoulder radiating all the way down my arm to my hand, it’s hurting so much. Like a deep dull growing pain, similar to the pains I get in my pelvis and thighs. Does anyone else differ with this

Anyone know what blood test this will contain?
Recently my endo asked my gp to test my bloods for TSH, Ft3 and fT4 as well as coeliac and parietal antibodies. GP put this test through: (TF3) TFT3: Hyperthyroid on treatment/T3 I am not hyperthyroid on treatment. I am post RAI for graves hypothyroid. And I wasn’t sure whether this includes TSH

Hi all, I had a right lower open surgery lobectomy last July and fortunately advised they removed the mass completely and no further treatment required. Hello I have been taking Pregabalin 150 mg and codeine 60mg for some time now and it is no longer effective. Pain meds after D&C?
Hi all, I've just had a second miscarriage which required a D&C at 9 weeks last week. It's a heartbreaking experience and I'm off of work for two weeks. They've also removed a growth from my cervix at the same time. I'm also on really strong pain meds now (30g codeine, sleeping tablets, herbal anxiety

Gabapentin/Pregabalin - Who is actually finding this helps their RLS?
There has been a lot of advice on this Forum about A2B Ligands being first line of treatment (?) and I was thinking there must be a lot of people out there who were advised to come off DA's (slowly) and go onto these Ligands. Then I am reading a lot of posts of people whereby these Ligands stop working

Dealing with pain and fatigue
Hi, Does anyone have any tips for pain or fatigue? My endo is back with a vengeance. I need more surgery but I am avoiding it. I used to be on 60 mg codeine but found it unbearable due to the side effects. It affected my cognitive ability which I need as I am a senior manager. I also have 2 children

Suppressed Thyroid ore unable Thyroid plus T3 problem
As this is my first post I will try and give short history as it is important. At the age of 17 (I am now 74) I was diagnosed with Hypoactive thyroid which strangely made me put on weight and also made one of eyes bulge. I was given iodine in tablet form and eventually things went back to normal .
