Oesophageal Diverticulum
Hi everyone, I have a small but quite symptomatic hiatus hernia and I'm feeling a lot of discomfort in the upper left side of my chest, much further to the left that one would expect the oesophagus to be. I've had an endoscopy and barium swallow and I've been told that I have a small mid-esophageal

Intrusive thoughts of Ex
I can’t get over my ex for the life of me and it’s almost been a year . Thoughts pop up of her all day long , I get flashbacks of our relationship, fear at times , scared to leave my house since she lives close to me . What is this ? Trauma ? PTSD ? C-PTSD? It’s super sad . I’ve done EMDR

Week 6 the down and the ups!!
Did Run 1 last Tuesday morning - went really well mainly because I was a bit wary after reading it catches people out after the glory of finishing Wk 5 Run 3. So I didn't get cocky and went bit slower and it was all lovely so was relieved that went well. Run 2 on Thursday morning was totally different

Relapse of PP yet not had a baby second time
Hello, please can someone reach out to me. I had PP 3 years ago with the birth of my son. I have had a relapse yet the triggers seem a lot more real second time around. I feel like I am pregnant again but I know I am not as I have taken a test. My hallucinations and delusions seem so real. I am 3

Salvage radiation fears
Right before he got wheeled back for surgery, my husband’s dr came in. I assume it was for a pep talk, but it did the opposite. He essentially said “this is a good first step - let’s get this out and then prepare for radiation”. Surgery went fine and physically he’s recovering well (although only 4

SLE diagnosis, potential PTSD
I was diagnosed SLE last year. Recovery and getting on meds was going pretty well, returning to work etc. more recently I’ve returned to counselling due to a decline in my mental health. After about a month of sessions my counsellor started mentioning PTSD and has asked me to fill in an assessment,

What is ‘fawning’ - the lesser known of the 4 F's? How is it related to trauma, PTSD and the ‘fight or flight’ response?
You have probably heard of “fight or flight” responses to distressing situations. You may also be familiar with the tendency to “freeze”. But there is another defence or survival strategy a person can have: “fawn”. From https://theconversation.com/what-is-fawning-how-is-it-related-to-trauma-and-the-fight-or-flight-response

I was posting earlier this month about how I was getting these deep depressive lows that felt unbearable. I had postnatal psychosis/a manic episode in the summer. My community team felt that an inpatient stay would help me and the doctors find a treatment plan. They have said I need to be in for three

Guess who’s back
I have had a rough ride. PP three days after giving birth to my daughter in 2016. Did all the right things when me and my husband wanted another baby: preconception meetings with the perinatal team. Then locked into the perinatal mental health team when I was pregnant in 2021. Managed to have my baby

Concerned about ?asthma symptoms, what is significant and what is not
Hi hope everyone is ok. Just looking for some opinions and advice really as I am confused when it comes to my breathing. If you are in a bad mood or not feeling very patient the below might annoy you but I am just trying to be honest and describe my experience. Basically for the past 12 years since

Choosing not to have more children
Evening all,For context, I have a 21-month-old son, and after his birth I spent 6 weeks in a Mother and Baby Unit with him, as well as an initial week separated from him in an Acute Mental Health Ward, due to PP. I initially took Olanzapine and experienced lethargy, weight gain and a general zombie-like

Struggling so much - are these symptoms normal?
Hi all I’m so sorry to post so soon after my other post, but I’m really struggling with feeling vacant, passive /like a spectator with no access to my personality. I don’t seem to have any idea of what I like or don’t like anymore and I’m so socially unaware. Im so flat and seem to lack any emotion

Olanzapine indefinitely
Hello ladies, I hope you are all doing well. I am pregnant with my second child and I’m on 5mg of Olanzapine. I have been on it for 2.5 years now. I am consumed with fear of what it will be like when I start tapering Olanzapine in the future. I might want to stay on it indefinitely but I’m scared of

Anxiety/ptsd
Hello everyone, first of all I apologize for my english (I'm from Morocco), we don't have support groups over here. I wanted to ask you guys If PTSD can also become generalized anxiety disorder? I have severe panic attacks since 2014.
