A new step
So I just told my therapist I needed a forum and here it is. Living with PTSD has been ROUGH to say the least. I've gone through mourning the old me and now trying to get into the new me. I'm glad there is a virtual place to connect.

Big life changes
I would like to ask the groups opinion on making major life changes. I feel that I will always have PTSD it isn't going anywhere soon. Is it a good idea to take a big emotional step, would this aggregate my PTSD symptoms, has anyone had to move, go through a break up or maybe start a new job, things

Am I dreaming?
Has anyone dealing with PTSD felt as if they were dreaming and asleep but were not? It happens to me a lot ! It's very hard to figure out whats real and what isn't. And then there are times when my son is talking to me and I can't make out what he's saying. I mean I can hear the sound of his voice .

Stuck with PTSD and want recovery desperately.
Hi, I've had ptsd like symptoms for 5 years. Bright sunlight, heat waves, and clear blue skies trigger my anxiety and panic resulting in misery, insomnia, severe fatigue, and depression. I've read the work of peter levine resolving trauma, and read your story how hypnosis worked for you. Is there a

Z1R3 the 5k. I braved the heat. Taking the zombie training up a notch.
I finally made it out for my run, I was starting to find it easy to find reasons to not go out. I like running I really do but it's easy to come up with excuses to not go. Of course very expensive trainers when you have no money is good motivation. So pep talk to myself done and I decided that I would

Goodbye Week 7 - Hello wedding outfit!
Blimey what a slog run 3 was - I had a really heavy weekend, busking (jiving) in Southend for three hours on Saturday and then a party in the evening another 3 hours of jiving - so I started out a bit jaded. I didn't really want to get out of bed and had to give myself a bit of a pep talk, but once I

So many people who don't have PTSD don't understand what it means to live with it daily. How do you explain PTSD symptoms to others?
