MPN(D) Related Fatigue – MRF – Survey
Fatigue is a big issue with patients who have MPDs, and perhaps worst in patients with myelofibrosis (MF), but it is also present in the majority of people with essential thrombocythaemia (ET) and
polycythaemia
vera
(PV).

Hi, I have been living with some form of IBS for almost 9 years now. It has made me housebound over time due to uncontrollable diarrhea, and now i have just recently became a dad and i feel its about time i gave up on the trial and error of untold amounts of tests and treatments and go for a colostomy

Hi, Since my diagnosis of lupus 12 years ago, it has become blatantly apparent that my bowel is affected by the disease. I have spoken to my doctor, rheumy and several other medics and all they want to know is that if I take laxatives, am I able to go to the loo. The answer is yes but I am finding

Possible link, High Prolactin and polycythaemia vera
I have recently read that prolactin production is high up on the pathway which includes JAK2 function and I can't help but think there has to be a connection with my two "unlucky" acquisitions of high prolactin and
polycythaemia
vera
. Has anyone else had a similar experience?

I am just about to trial pure aloe Vera gel, has anyone else tried it out?
I have been told that it could help protect my stomach and build up my immune system. I am really hoping it will stop the griping, nausea and general bloating. If anyone out there has first hand experience of it, how has it helped

Reducing inflammation of the gut walls caused by gluten with the aid of natural healing aids (and a Gluten Free diet)
When newly diagnosed with coeliac disease or gluten sensitivity or when accidental ingestion of gluten has taken place, then very often the gut wall of the small intestine will become inflamed. The small intestine is quite complex as it comprises of four compartments within the duodenum itself: these

Sulfasalazine Rash?
Hi folks, am looking for a bit of advice as a few weeks into starting on Sulfa I have developed a bit of a rash under my armpits, very itchy I might add, but it puts me in mind of prickly heat which I had on a holiday in a very hot country. Does anyone have a bit of a home cure, at the moment I'm washing

Myeloproliferative Disorders: The problems of being unusual.
I was diagnosed with
Polycythaemia
Vera
in December of last year. I think I will identify with many of those people who say that they have been unwell off and on for years one way and another along with a multitude of irritating but not constantly debilitating symptoms.

The last five weeks have been a little hairy but it is not all bad news.
A few weeks back, I was started on a very very low dose trial of 'Plaquenil'. i was full of hope about this...as my young daughter is doing better than she was at age 15 with her dose of 'plaquenil' and 'aspirin'. I was well read and informed, and knew with my profile and also mixture of five diseases

Exemption from prescription charges for MPD medication.
In 2008 the World Health Organization – WHO – reclassified all the MPDs,
polycythaemia
vera
- PV, essential thrombocythaemia - ET, and myelofibrosis - MF, as ‘myeloproliferative neoplasms’, hence the use of MPN on some websites and in medical papers, though we still use the term ‘myeloproliferative disorders

HEAD TO TOE allergic reaction to Plaquenil and some help please
Hello, here am very glad to have half working hands. I have SLE Lupus, Hughes Syndrome, Psoriatic Arthropathy, Sjogrens and Hypothyroidism. I had a trial of plaquenil, as it is clear that I need something for my failing health. I started this with optimism and some caution due to my existing conditions
