Is there an Alternative to Conventional Meds?
Hi guys, I’ve been reading about some alternative remedies/therapies used to treat asthma. Although reliant upon some ‘heavy duty’ conventional meds, I’ve always been interested and take, some alternative therapies to help either reduce ‘heavy duty’ meds, or maybe replace self same meds

information on cleaning&use of volumatic spacer for reversibility.
I know this has been asked previously but concerned re cross infection with use of volumatic spacers for reversibility testing.Patients are not given a script as not always diagnosed.Spacers are washed with soapy water after each patient&alcohol wipe around mouthpiece.I did try sterilising with milton

Bronchial wall thickening
Last year when I had a CT scan, it showed areas of thickened Bronchial Walls. I also have some symptoms which may or may not be related, I guess I just want to draw on the experiences of others. It is like having a stiff muscle in my chest and its hard to get a breath in on some days. As a result, my

Has anyone had tests for Primary Ciliary Dyskenesia?
My little girl has alot of the symptoms of PCD and is probably going to be having a lung biopsy to test. She has been put on Budesonide nebs, which seem to have had an effect on her symptoms (altho it could be sheer coincidence as we havent given it the month that it usually is between attacks!) Has

Prednisolone side effects
Having a bit of a dilemma here! Asthma's been pretty awful this summer and I've been on a lot of steroids. I've been on pred for a month, with varying doses but at one point i was on 60mg for 10 days. Anyway I've been told i have to stay on it for at least another two and a bit weeks at 40mg. Normally

I heard this morning that NICE have decided that women should be oftered a C-section even if it's not medically indicated Now i assumed that the NHS like the rest of the public sector was facing huge cutbacks in funding so how have they come to this decision? There are regular incidents of people

Flu
Finally got through on the phone to my GP [am home with a really bad dose of the flu].I needed my x-ray results, hence the phone call.I was told no better but,no worse.Of course, that does'nt make any difference to the pain.I am now being prescribed a disolvable codein based pill as the other pain-killers
