The last five weeks have been a little hairy but it is not all bad news.
A few weeks back, I was started on a very very low dose trial of '
Plaquenil
'. i was full of hope about this...as my young daughter is doing better than she was at age 15 with her dose of '
plaquenil
' and 'aspirin'.

Hoping for answers!
I'm also into my 3rd week of taking
plaquenil
liquid. 1st 2 weeks I had to take one dose (8mls)a day. I even noticed at the end of that 2nd week that my joint pains were already noticeably better so I was really pleased. Then the 3rd week I had to double the dose.

Prof Hughes' July blog
Four prongs of treatment:
Plaquenil
, thyroxine and gluten-restricted diet and anticoagulation (first aspirin, later warfarin). A wonderful response. Back to a full and symptom-free existence! A huge success. What is this patient teaching us?

Weight gain without meds?
I was diagnosed with SLE nephritis last year and although I haven’t been on any meds other than
Plaquenil
since a year now, I feel like I am gaining weight by the minute. I do not go out so I don’t exercise but I’m a vegetarian and I consider myself to be a conscious eater.

plaquenil info please
I do manage to take my warfarin tablets with food and am now wondering whether
plaquenil
tablets are a similar size to warfarin or not, and if they can be taken with food. Then, if they are, I might be able to manage the
plaquenil
tablets. Can anyone advise please? Many thanks Jane

Fatigue and claiming on my income protection policy.
take Metho, Co-Codomol, Folic Acid, Leflunomide,
Plaquenil
& Naproxen. Hoped I could work self employed and control my hours but that has proved very challenging so now trying to claim.

Pleuritic pain?
Yes, I've been prone to mouth/throat/lung infections all my life and had pleurisy diagnosed and treated once, but this past year these sort of "sideline pleuritic pain" flares seem to just kind of sort themselves out -maybe thanks to being on

Medications and pregnancy?
The two I am worried about are
Plaquenil
(400mg) and Prednisolone steroid (10/15mg). Have any of you been on these meds or others throughout your pregnancy and were there any effects that you know of to the baby? Thank you.

HEAD TO TOE allergic reaction to Plaquenil and some help please
I had a trial of
plaquenil
, as it is clear that I need something for my failing health. I started this with optimism and some caution due to my existing conditions, especially the psoriatic arthropathy.

Bad taste - bad smell.....
It didn't improve, swapped back to the brand
Plaquenil
rather than the generic - still didn't improve. Teeth were fine, sent to ENT to check sinuses which were clear as I'd expected.

No sweet diet
I have had RA for over 4 years.and am taking
Plaquenil
to treat it. I decided to try a no sweet diet to see if it helped with my pain and stiffness. I have been on it now for 3 weeks.

My APS experience - hopefully I'm not alone!
I was then quickly diagnosed with APS and have now been told I will be on warfarin for life and
Plaquenil
for an extended period (Rheum. suggested to the Haem. I go on
Plaquenil
even though I don’t have SLE??)

Joint/ Muscle pain that 'moves' around body
I just began
Plaquenil
(generic form) one month ago, so I haven't yet noticed any benefit- too early I suppose.... I like to stay active and these pains can be completely debilitating and so frustrating!! Not to mention the general fatigue and slight depression just from feeling this way.

question about health care plans
Right now, I'm taking methotrexate,
plaquenil
, folic acid, vitamin D and calcium. Things are going down hill (I'm flairing and in much more pain than I have been in the past) and my rheumy wants to put me on a biologic (cimzia).
