Ciclosporin and neuro-toxicity
I also stopped
Plaquenil
in case that contributed to the problem. Because I insisted that my peripheral vision is still not right, I was referred to have a Goldmann tests for visual fields (which is a bit more specialised than the one you can have in a normal ophthalmology/optician visit).

RA at 22 -- Plaquenil, Looking for Advice
Long story short: I've been on
plaquenil
since June. I really haven't had any change in the severity of my symptoms, and I've been on it for 5 months. My rheumatologist says that it can take up to 6 months for this medicine to start working. Has anyone had any luck with
plaquenil
?

Plaquenil to hydroxycholoroquine
I have been taking
plaquenil
and need to switch to hydroxycholoriquine (generic
plaquenil
) because the cost of
plaquenil
is high. Has anyone switched from
plaquenil
to hydroxycholoroquine and found huge differences like GI symptoms--or any other terrible side effects. Thanks.

Uctd or shingles or what??
Doc starts me on generic
Plaquenil
200mg once a day. After 3 days, it felt like both the backs of my elbows had rugburn on them. Then It traveled into the creases of my elbow ( in the skin not joint). Stopped

after 6 days.

Aspirin Desensitiztion as a precursor to aspirin therapy
Since she went gluten free and started on
Plaquenil
the IgM came down to 12. We have a fantastic team of doctors, which we feel very fortunate about. They respect and communicate with each other which is wonderful. One of them was recommended by Dr.

Seeking understanding
My rheumatologist started me on 15 mg meloxicam and 400 mg
plaquenil
daily. It's not helping yet. I feel so alone in this as I know no one who has ra. My kids nor my husband understand my pain or exhaustion.

What next....
Hi, I was diagnosed with SLE 5 years ago, and have had a couple of flares, however nothing too serious, so had previously coped without being on any medicine at all, or occasionally a 4/5 month stint on
plaquenil
.

Questions about lupus
I am on a cocktail of meds including
plaquenil
, quinacrine, topamax, buspirone, tramadol, Percocet, prednisone, zanaflex, and a baby aspirin everyday. I just find this ridiculous . I'm still in pain so this all doesn't seem to be working .

UCTD, Joint Pain, Plaquenil
My rheumy wanted me to start
Plaquenil
right away. I had the IUI done and started
Plaquenil
3 days later. I started having dizzy spells and becoming anxious and weepy (thought I was pregnant, but I wasn't). Then 3 days later, I developed new symptoms.

Question about Hughes Syndrome!
He claims that what I have is a blood disorder and not an autoimmune disorder and that I do not need to be treated with
Plaquenil
. I thought APS was supposed to be treated by a Rheumy. I am in the states, so this doctor might not know a lot about APS. He is also an older doctor.

leflunomide
I have RA and tried
plaquenil
methotrexate and cimzia. The only drug that worked was cimzia but I had horrific side effects. My rheumy started me on leflunomide. Has it worked for anyone on here and does hair loss seem to be a side effect?

Finally, I've been diagnosed!! I DO have inflammatory arthritis.
I've been told I will start
Plaquenil
for the Palindromic Rheumatism (I need to arrange to see my GP for this) and after my allergic reaction to the Tapentadol for my nerve damage, I've been given BuTrans patches to try instead.

Bruised
Hi, I take
Plaquenil
, predisolone, and azathioprine--over 4 months ago fell and got bruises on my legs. Still now the bruises are on my legs and don't think they are going away. Could this be from the meds? I have lupus.
