Bruised

Hi, I take Plaquenil, predisolone, and azathioprine--over 4 months ago fell and got bruises on my legs. Still now the bruises are on my legs and don't think they are going away. Could this be from the meds? I have lupus.

Yes, definitely the prednisolone ... can't speak for azathioprine though.

I have the same and told this is to do with the meds, bruises go eventually but take weeks!

I'm the same and take the same meds as you. I think its the preds that cause it.

I bruise like a peach nowadays, I still have a dusty bruise from a car accident a year ago

I bruise easily but I'm on Warfarin as well as Plaquenil. I've found that if I immediately apply pressure to the possible bruise for several minutes, it doesn't occur or it's lessened!!

I bruise very easily and the 'stain' seems to stay for ever! I did ask the consultant about it and she said it was the disease. I'm only on hydroxychloroquine and she said its not related to that. I've still got a large bruise on my leg from 2 years ago. Not pretty but that's life!
