Metformin & Peeing!
Silly little problem but I was put on Metformin a few weeks back and since then I have to get up probably 3-5 times during the night. Previously it was once, maybe twice. And also, during the day, when I have to go, I get very little warning, just minutes, and it's a real nuisance. Anyone else had this

Baby or health? Petrified of coming off medication to conceive.
Since last year my pcos has been managed really well with a combo of Yasmin pill/ spironolactone 75mg and diet. I’m nearly 35 and my consultant had ‘the talk’ with me today about how I need to get a move on if I want to try to conceive. She advised coming off the Yasmin and spironolactone and switching

Why I’m feeling like this?
I’ve been diagnosed since November last year and was put on metformin whih made me ill so they put me on the slow releasing one which had the same symptoms, because it’s made me feel so ill i occasionally miss out the tablets on days because it can make me loose my appetite. My bloods have been fine

Elevated liver enzymes
Been on Zytiga a month and liver enzymes shot up. Anyone else have this issue, and if so, how did you get it controlled? If they don’t come down, it may be time to take 1 Zytiga with a meal rather than 4 on an empty stomach. My PCP suggested I stop metformin for now.

Natural supplements used as Adjuvant Therapy with Lupron (only) by 6 year Stage IV, G8, PSA 0.06, Patient
I continue to receive a number of requests for the specific supplements I take. Here is my story and an updated list of specific supplements. All supplements chosen were made on the basis of cancer research reviewed mainly through pubmed.gov. Doses were more challenging and were derived from the experiences

Diabetes or not
Hey I'm new ti the group I was told three years ago I had type 2 and they placed me on metformin. I took the meds for about year. In the meantime while going to get my A1c checked where they always came back as normal. Go back to a different doctor where they tell me I'm not a diabetic and never was.

Asking Local MO to add Avodart and Metformin to Xtandi
I am trying to bone up for a local MO second opinion next week. Supposedly, this MO believes in scans and may not pawn us off on the nurse like the other local MO has been doing. My husband takes Xtandi and recently they added Casodex again. Because so many here have mentioned adding Avodart and/or

Metformin.
This is in response to a recent negative Metformin post. I have posted this vlog offering from Dr. Myers before but some might not have seen it: https://askdrmyers.wordpress.com/2015/01/13/metformin-prostate-cancer/ Here is the study that Myers found so convincing: https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed

MOs for some perspective and second opinion??

Statin use and survival in metastatic castration-resistant PCa treated with abiraterone or enzalutamide after docetaxel failure.
New study below [1]. I believe that in the U.S. more than half of men my age are using a statin. On the other hand, I sense antipathy towards statins among many who are not using them. Certainly, there are sites such as Mercola's that contain dire warnings. In my case, I had no interest in lowering
