Not expecting that!
This weekend my husband was more unsteady on his feet and his speech worse, as the day progressed he was unable to hold his own weight, needing help to get up and walk. I though a nights rest would sort it out but he was agitated and confused. After speaking to the doctors and paramedics he was admitted

Hemiplegic Migraine- Has it caused Nerve Damage?
Since I had a massive HM attack in September, my balance, walking and use of my left arm and leg has been painful and difficult. I use a walking stick to help. I've tried doing research on this to find out if there is any options I could be doing already to improve this. I am already doing physio but

Help with after effects SAH required please! Currently suffering badly and don't know where to turn ☹
I just stumbled across this website and wanted to share my experience with you as it looks like some of you may have experienced a similar issue to myself. 18 months ago I suffered a very random bleed (SAH). I was simply travelling to work when all this happened. Initially the doctors were of the opinion

Nerve Pain in Shoulder
For over a year I have had what a physio has described as a bent nerve in the top of my left shoulder. It hurts almost continuously and deprives me of sleep. The NHS provide pills which are largely ineffective. I tried acupuncture which made the pain worse. Can anyone help with pain relief ideas please

Frustrated about "anxiety"
I saw a new neurophysio yesterday and she kept trying to put everything down to me feeling upset or anxious (which I wasn't). I tried explaining to her that I've been like this for years now, and that I saw a psychologist and physio for two years who didn't believe that my physical problems are psychological

Getting a PEG tube - psychological setback
My mum has had PSP for 6 years now and I'm finding discussions and experiences shared on this forum very relevant and calming for me. Mum does not need a PEG tube yet but our doctor says we should get one inserted this summer whilst her swallowing reflex is still OK-ish. She is beginning to take longer

Nearly there after injury
After spraining ankle ligaments on my right leg on Christmas Day, having completed week 9, I have been unable to run. However, having had a telephone physio therapy consultation6 weeks ago and following the exercises given, I am almost pain free. I will follow the 8 week course before starting Couch

I have been prescribed Duloextine, 30mg and referred for

Teenage daily migraines
First of all, sorry about my long-winded message. My 14 year old daughter has been getting daily “migraine-like” headaches that last from the moment she wakes up to the moment she goes to sleep. (This is the description the neurologist gives). She has had them now for 3 months & is unable to participate
