Just Diagnosed Osteoporosis - Saying Hello
Just established my profile and want to say hello to all. I will be reading through posts to learn more of what each of you have experienced. I am most interested in managing this condition without meds due to the side effects with the jaw. Update 6/26/2022 full story: I was told by prior Gyno’s stand

Surgery February now the right is a mess as I have had to use it more. So yesterday….it’s a mess hellyn we can

Physio didn't help
Hi all. Had my first and only physio session just now here in Spain. Lovely chap, great therapy but it's actually made my T worse. On the flip side, he said I have no issues with my neck so my T is not coming from there. I'm just a little stiff and hunched over so need to sit up more. Ho hum. Onwards

Hello all Haven't posted for a while as generally, things OK ish. Had a few ups and downs with the HRT but seems to be good at the moment and overall a benefit to my various UIA related issues. By no means a cure. Still on hydroxyc. which is still keeping the Raynaud's at bay and I do feel fewer flare

MRI and EEG confirm no stroke! 😮💨
My Jeff is still pretty groggy, however, he’s definitely more lucid. He has gotten a little confused, but is about 90% back to normal, but that’s when he’s awake. He constantly nods off and still sleeps a lot. After an MRI and an EEG, they were able to officially rule out stroke. Jeff had the wires

Lupus and back pain
Hey all, does anyone suffer with back pain? I’ve always had back problems, but they’re gradually getting worse, I’ve always put it down to bad posture and being tall. But it’s feeling constant and I’m struggling to feel comfortable most of the time. I’ve got a drs app and a physio referral next week.

Still bruised after 11 weeks, is this RA sero + at work?
My left arm is recovering from the 4 fractures, physio is helping, but reduced range of movement. The bruising and swelling was extensive, my forearm is still quite discoloured after 11 weeks! I’ve researched, it seems that it might be due to RA, any body know more about this? Go gently

Had my MRI scan
Hi. Had my MRI in Spain yesterday. I had a bilateral with contrast. I get my results emailed to me apparently. Everything was fine except they only gave me ear plugs. The banging, crashing and pinging was clearly audible even though I tried to relax and think about something else. Since then, my T

Getting there
6 months since my stroke and 4 weeks since I last used my walking stick and went back into the classroom and taught 3 lessons today. Went really well, only working 1 day a week until Christmas but over the moon as I didn't know if I'd walk again, let alone be able to manage classes. It's been a painful

Physiotherapy
to improve walking, might do that when the pension allows. Levodopa has stopped working after only 3 months, I was only allowed minimum dose, so the much hated jerking has returned, plus the weird walking. No suggestion how to improve slow speech or loss of fine motor skills.

Front Lobe Damage
Hey guys. Question here for front lobe damage. My partner had a motorbike accident 6months ago suffering from tbi, sci, and had another accident whilst in hospital which has caused more damage in the front lobe. Before the accident he was really improving not 100% but finally understood why hes in hospital

alternative treatments
I would like all alternative methods for alleviation of symptoms, I see more damage and side effects from prescription drugs and my client will not take them. Specifically things like acupuncture, neuro physical therapy, eye-brain training, homeopathic, natural supplements, neurofeedback, botox. Would

Rehab
Hi everyone, since I last posted my husband has moved into rehab, it has totally overwhelmed him as he has spent 6 months in a room on his own and now he is in with 5 other men. He's sleeping loads. Some days the staff try to do his physio and he won't entertain them at all. This is so important to

Muscle Spasms
I had what I thought was a pulled muscle and they xrayed at Christie's, this lasted couple of days it's turned into agony. It starts like a wave that builds up around my shoulders, my neck and tingling, numbness and pain down my left arm. The pain is practically to half of my body back and front, but

Anyone tried Collagen?
Was talking to my physio who also has IBS and she told me I should try taking Collagen powder. I have been doing some reading on it and seen that it not only helps hair and nails but in some studies it has been shown to help improve joint pain as well as GI issues in people with IBS. I just wondered
