This is not a quesgion but it has really infuriated me, i watched the big hyped up programme on channel 5 Womans Helth Taboo….. Endo episode and my goodness what did we get 10 minited air time , it would have been good if they had contacted specialist to find out what they are researching on and possibly different ways to relief the pain ,
i understand that again there are lots of people who suffer with incontenance(i can’t spell) and menopause which are both overlooked as well woman problems, but why advertise that episode so widely that it was based on Endometriosis,
those of us who have this know what feels like we just want some help to cope , and yes i am now trying to find a Physiotherapist that doesnt cost the earth to see if that would help , suppose i do have a question anyone on here tried Physio fir pain ?? Sorry for the rant but yea Endometriosis got air time but i feel not enough,

I felt the same too! Was so deflating to watch, especially being advertised as it were. I was expecting more towards the end maybe a review? but nothing 😔
I guess we just carry on as we are and hope us suffering get our voices heard
Totally agree. I was hoping it would give me some hope. But instead we heard a women saying the pain was so bad she considered taking her own life and that she'd had 5 surgeries, and was now having physio to help deal with pain partly caused by the scar tissue from those surgeries.
I agree. Very little covered on the symptoms and the main focus was on the pain and heavy periods. There is so much more to it and also it is possible to have severe endo & barely have any pain, as is my situation. I was only diagnosed because I have been struggling to conceive & we found out endo was why. I have been told natural conception is not possible and so now trying IVF. The fact that there was no mention at all of how endo can affect your fertility angered me so much
Endometriosis is a taboo. After spending years trying to pursued people that periods do not affect women's performance adversely , Endo is evidence that sometimes they do. It is appalling that even other women, treat those who do have it badly. Endo is painful and messy.. It does not make for good TV. I am all for women who have or have had Endo to speak out regardless and not hide the pain and mess. The more we talk, the less we can be ignored. I listened to a programme about 20 years ago on woman's hour about endo. Then about 5 years later they brought the topic back. Nothing had changed except the women who were talking. This is why we need to keep up the pressure on organisation.
