I would like to hear your experience of pelvic congestion syndrome
Dear Team, I have been recently diagnosed with PCS. I have been suffering from pelvic pain for a few years now. I have adenomyosis which appears to be controlled well with the mirena coil. In October 21 I was admitted because I was in so much pain in my lower right abdomen and again in May 22.

Nerve damage and very painful hip following surgery
Hello, I’m 12 weeks in to recovery following a total hysterectomy and deep endometriosis removed from both pelvis walls, the sacral ligament and along my bowel. Recovery has been good stomach wise however one week after surgery I have a loss of feeling to my right hip to knee (I can’t feel touch)

I haven't written for a while but I want to ask if anyone has gone through this. My husband is 9 months down the line after a traumatic brain injury, he is still in hospital rehab, he's doing great. Walking well with a stick and he can do most things himself, get dressed, eat his meals he's doing

Hey ho, same old ....
Today went to a village festival type do. Morris dancing and the like. Lovely do, then one of our Morris dancing friends says 'why don't you join'. Friend says ooo yes that would be fun, shall we. I laugh and say, I'm still trying to recover from physio assessment 5 days ago where we tried out some

What's the REAL reason for seeing a rheumatologist?
Hi all you helpful people. I'm a survivor of PMR (took 6 years to get over it), and a new GCA patient -- having been diagnosed 2 1/2 weeks ago by temporal artery biopsy which was positive. I was immediately put on 60 MG prednisone, and was advised to decrease to 50 after 2 weeks. It's my GP and ophthalmologist

Well my friends, my Rheumy appointment went well. I managed to avoid seeing the dragon consultant and got a kinder one. He agreed a slow taper to zero. Hooray. Also agreed to physio. Interestingly he re assured me that once gone it was unlikely to recur. Not sure about that one, but I plod on. Day at

September Quest
Many thanks to SueAppleRun who hosted the quest so well during August, in addition to doing a very busy job in a care home. They do say if you want anything doing, ask a busy person! September has now arrived and you have got me to keep an eye on things this month! I don’t know what you’ve done to

hydrodoxychloroquine??
Is anyone using this? My rheumy has suggested it for me as l'm stuck on 3mg and stiff. I couldn't contemplate it as I have gut and stomach problems and I can see it can affect the eyes. No thanks. So I shall carry on regardless and keep up the physio and walk more now it's cooler. Things could

bad fall
10 days ago I had a bad fall and sprained my ankle—it’s still swollen and painful, I’m doing what doc said to do for it. When I fell, I landed on my right side which is now sore and painful all the way up to my waist, including my whole lower right quadrant. I’ve been icing my right pelvic area to
