It has been my longest and toughest journey of my life.
My fibromyalgia started in a writer way. In 2019, I became very ill with several bloody UTIS, which then affected my skin, my body was producing what was similar to small fish scales, they would ping out of my skin all over my body. Come out my tear ducks. When I was on the loo I could hear them hitting

Morning all! The sky was pretty dramatic during last night’s walk. Things are looking up! Yesterday was a session with the physio who was really pleased with the way things have been going. I had some grumbling pain in my hip after pushing things on the dance floor with friends over the weekend.

Physio post TKR lessons
I have just had my second physio appointment which was delayed (because of a bad UTI) and rescheduled closer to home. It was a revelation because I learnt that I had been concentrating almost entirely on the gold standard of a 90 degree knee bend. Instead I should have been building up my thigh muscle

Male Hypertonic Pelvic Floor & Nerve Pain on left side
Hi all - Just found this site, and hoping it can be an opportunity to learn. I have been dealing with a hypertonic pelvic floor and some nerve pain for about 2.5 years. I've tried physical therapy, medications, and have not found any relief. I met with Dr. Hibner down in AZ and he is strongly recommending

on the day I was due to run my 10k graduation 🏃♀️ run! I had a serious accident and broke my shoulder! My first thought was I need to text my friend and tell her I couldn’t run as I had just messed up my shoulder big time! I then called my boss for help as I was out on a collection as I am a post

Anyone had elbow surgery?
Hi friends, as some of you know, I’ve been diagnosed with cubital tunnel syndrome, similar to carpel tunnel but in the elbow instead of the wrist. The ulnar nerve is slipping in and out of it’s groove, and it’s causing nerve inflammation, tingling, numbness and freezing/locking of the hand. Hardest things

A nightmarish journey
I am feeling pretty desperate, staring at my computer screen at work or lying motionless in my apt reading or watching movies to try not to obsess about my depression. My anti-depressants stopped working and I have weaned off them after 20 plus years with the goal of trying psilocybin. I am struggling

I'm not going nuts!
I need advice on what I should do and hope someone can help. I was at a dr's appointment a few weeks ago where they left my notes up. It was set on the blood test section and I saw that I'd been tested for rheumatology factor (once) and anti-dna (3-4 times). The dr was going through them and they were

Why does Facebook like to rub it in !!! 😐
Thanks FB ! 😐😐😐Just what I needed (Not!) Ahh well, telephone consultation this afternoon with cardiac rehab . But unfortunately the rehab was thrown off track with first the plantar Fasciitis and then the back issue following my bike ride ! I then have a 2nd physio appointment tomorrow over my back

Hurts breathing in on left side/lung...
Hi, I'm wondering if anyone might have experienced this or some thoughts. Sorry this is so long a post. This morning I woke up and my left lung/back/shoulder hurt, much more so with breathing in. I thought it might be I'd slept oddly and/or my arthritis as other parts of me ached and back and spine

ET/MPNs cause or irritate musculoskeletal issues
Hi all, I hope everyone is keeping as well as they can be…. I have read a few stories and queries on here recently and it peaked my thoughts. I have had a few issues over this last year but these were old irritants let’s say from earlier years. 1) I went through a period quite a few years ago of

Newbie to the group.
Hi all, I’m new to the group although 6 months in on a PMR diagnosis. My symptoms started in April 2020 2 months after as knee injury, both my shoulders at first, I couldn’t even get a cup off the side, couldn’t lay on my side or touch my shoulders. I thought that it was over use. My GP prescribed

Pain Management after spine surgeries
Had lumbar and cervical fusions in the last few years due to arthritis, rheum and osteo. The surgeries were to correct for pinched nerves which caused severe muscle weakness. Weakness has mostly been resolved, but pain is still an issue. I was on and off oxycodone, but now using Butrans lowest
