Selenium methionine and Total Thyroidectomy
I've received SO much help from you all over the past couple of years! I had a total thyroidectomy 30 years ago. Didn't really have problems on t4 only until about 4 years ago, when it was discovered I have hemocromitosis and began regularly having phlebotomies which depleted the iron overload but left

So I just a a

Medichecks Lab Experience/Phlebotomy Services
Hi all, I was living in the UK a couple years back and will be in London/Southampton visiting my fiancee's family next week and want to take advantage of having some private blood work done (since there's no option to go privately here in Canada). I think I have decided on Medichecks over Blue Horizon

Pregnant with PV, JAK2+, weird family history
The plan is to stick with the aspirin/exercise/monthly
phlebotomy
until the baby's almost due, then to switch from aspirin to either heparin or interferon-alpha for the last week or two before delivery. After delivery, he'll let me stick with something that won't affect the baby via breastmilk.

Help
Hello all! I need to vent........I live in Las Vegas, NV and medical here is the worse I've ever seen. I have PV diagnosed about 5 years ago. I also have Hemochromatosis which is basically too much iron. With PV the iron is like fertilizer so we attempt to keep my iron as low as possible. Last time

Starting to have a few doubts about Medichecks
To my surprise I hadn't noticed that my GP surgery had my CRP done on May 9th in the walk in
phlebotomy
clinic at our hospital in Cambridge, mainly for calcium and parathyroid, and it read 4mg/L (0.0 -6.0) but on May 17th according to Medichecks 0.9mg/L (0.00 - 5.00).

Doing wel
I was diagnosed with PV (red blood) and ET (platelets) in 2014, at 57 years young. I'm a male. The first year was rough, but once doctors got my medications "tuned" things have been great since. I go to the gym every day, and work out 1 to 2 hours each day. Some of my hobbies include, boxing and hiking

PRIMUN NON NOCERE = First, do no harm,
In HIPPOCRATES'' DAY,
phlebotomy
(blood letting) was the accepted cure for many of the short list of common illnesses or injures which were known and treated.. In the PRESENT DAY the modern doctor has many more decisions to make and factors to consider.

HGB fluctuating what is typical-newbie
My HGB started at 22 and with weekly
phlebotomy
and the 500 mg HU it had gone down steadily to 18 over 4 weeks. However, today at
phlebotomy
my HGB was up to 18.5. Also, my WBC is up and it had been steady. Is this common to see swings like this? Thanks for reading this!

Hello, I am from the USA and would like some clarification. I was diagnosed with PV due to elevated platelets and HCT and a positive JAC 2. I am currently managed by 500 mg of Hydroxyurea and baby aspirin, and have weaned down my therapeutic phlebotomies to one every three months. I notice that most
