Dialysis is upon me!
So, coming out of a not so great weekend. On Friday, I had my routine bloodwork done. That evening, my nephrologists office called and asked that I go to the hospital for admission. After laying in there all weekend, I discovered that I was having a tunnel placed in my chest as a temporary access for

Why can’t I breathe and move? Advice needed.
I have HF 4 and Hyperthrophic Cardiomyopathy. This year I ended up in hospital as I couldn't breathe or move. My first visit lasted three weeks and I was sent home with new meds but did not feel any better. A month later I found myself in ICU with the same symptoms but with Kidney and Liver problems.

Update
Jim now has COVID, his bay all have covid all 5 of them. We cannot visit now and he is much worse. His CT scan came back and one of his kidneys has died. The doctor has rang Jim's son up to explain the CT scan. Jim says he is dieing and he wants all the family round, but we can't go now!!! It's horrible

Scary times
Not a candidate for
peritoneal
dialysis
because of too many abdominal surgeries. Worried about having cannulas in my arm. Seems like a high risk for infection. I had MRSA and it was very unpleasant. Plus, the idea of having to be tied to a machine is frightening.

Reducing phlebotomy in hemodialysis patients
Because routine venous access for IV therapy or phlebotomy is limited to one unilateral arm for those of us who are dialysis patients many of us have poor access in the remaining limb for blood draws or IV therapy possibly secondary to scarring through multiple attempts at enous access. Is there any

I'm going through my tests with Mayo Clinic in Arizona. I will tell you that they treat you like person. I'm impressed with size of the campus. They are very organized and were on time with my appointments. I still have some more tests to go. I should hopefully will find out, by on all days

Verzenio
Can anyone tell me about Verzenio? What side effects have you had? I’m about to start next week and from what I’ve read, severe severe diarrhea is an issue along with other stomach problems and I’m wondering what I am up against. My last medicine reacted with my cholesterol medicine and I ended up

Home dialysis question
Has anyone had experience with both home hemodialysis and

? If so, what were the pros and cons for each.

This Queen is thankful like Sunday morning
Here is the link a Sunday morning song. Easy= https://youtu.be/7XcTyEKSnYg I hope everyone is doing well today. It's a gray one where I am but the fall leaves will pop. This song is one my dad introduced me to. I'm doing well. I don't get to write on here as much as I'd like. Work and school are capturing

I am on In center HD for about 6 weeks and I hate it. They say that HD removed toxins from the blood. Can someone tell what toxins it removes from the blood? I know it removes potassium and phosphorus and sugar. What other ingredients? I will highly appreciate the info. Thanks

ACUTE KIDNEY INJURY due to BK VIRUS
Anyone here suffered from AKI after transplant that has to undergo dialysis for the kidney to recover? Transplanted kidney is not severely damaged on biopsy but creatinine is high due to active BK VIRUS.
