Anyone here suffered from AKI after transplant that has to undergo dialysis for the kidney to recover?

Transplanted kidney is not severely damaged on biopsy but creatinine is high due to active BK VIRUS.

Hello , I saw your message and I'd feel as you do "very concerned". My spouse had a kidney transplant Nov 2018, but he did not have what you describe. He had alot of assorted problems for 14 mos after his transplant including a low grade rejection and several blood chemistry problems and lastly CMV virus. I Hope you get the medical fast attention you need. I just wanted you to know that someone cares about you. I do.

At 3 plus years post-transplant, my son suffered an Acute Kidney Injury due to a double whammy of Covid-19 and Rotavirus. His urine was as dark as night with an increased creatinine (and his baseline is 1.8 to 2.3 due to a small transplant to begin with). No dialysis but it took weeks to improve. It did improve. Wishing you a recovery sooner than later.
