Amlodipine
Hi. I have aortic valve stenosis. A (junior?) consultant has just prescribed amlodipine. The leaflet within the box specifically bullet-points not to take it. Who is right? TIA.

Confused
Hi. This forum has been a big help to me and answered many questions, but haven't found an answer to one problem anywhere. My HR is varying between 40 and 80 but my pulse is constantly erratic which doesn't bother me during the day but at night I hear it unless I use ear plugs. I was diagnosed 3 years

Amlodipine & Swelling
I've been taking Amlodipine for over two years now, and in the last 6 months have noticed swelling in my ankles and feet, gradually getting worse. In the hot weather it's become even worse. I didn't experience and swelling symptoms for at least the whole first year of taking Amlodipine. My GP has said

No Watchman fitted, disappointing.
Hi I can’t deny I was disappointed. I came round from the general anaesthetic to be told I was not selected for the Watchman device and that I will be in the Control group. The upside I suppose, is that I have no foreign object in my body and I will still be closely monitored alongside the two who

BP meds
I have been a CKD patient since 2001. For many years, my decline was minimal. Recently, I have seen great decline. My question is in regards to BP meds. I'm taking Lisinopril, and Amlodipine. Foes anyone know if these meds have detrimental effects on Kidney function?

Swollen ankles
My daughter commented last night on how swollen my ankles are - the ankle'bump' was hardly visible on my right foot. Bother were heavily indented from wearing socks and ankle/ lower leg was swollen. Is this something I need to get checked? Quickly, or not a rush? Currently taking Ivabradine Bisopropol

Please can someone tell me what I should be asking?
After a brief stint in hospital this week and no answers as yet, I thought I’d do a bit of research of my own. I have been part of healthunlocked before but not on this platform. I am Hypothyroide 100g thyroxine a day, my T4/3 is mid range although my TSH of .003 ( which most doctors will have you believe

Perindopril
My husband has seen consultant today following his cardioversion. As he has a mechanical heart valve he has been put on to perindopril 2mg to increase to 4mg if no side effects occur. Anyone else been prescribed this drug?
