Bisoprolol and 'weird feelings'
I have a friend (yes folks, I genuinely do) who had a heart attack and a stent fitted 3 years ago. Amongst other things she was prescribed 2.5mg bisoprolol. This was upped to 1 tablet twice a day after she started to complain of a 'weird feeling that went right through her body and ended up in her legs

Mums results - are they ok?
Hi, My Mum got these results back, she is 80 and has problems with severe wind building up, causing anxiety and relieved by burping and has recently had raised heart beat and shakiness. She is on 75mcg of Levo, Teva and Actavis brands. If these results are acceptable, then, any advice on what might be

Criteria for choosing non-emergency CABG?
My dad is scheduled for an angioplasty next week. His flow test and scans have revealed at least three significant blockages (over 70%) one of which is in his LAD. The doctors are planning to insert stents, but said the cath will give them a better sense of the blockages and if CABG is the better option

Routine check ups after CABG x5
I’m just asking out of curiosity - my husband had a quintuple bypass in Canada 2 years ago. We came back to the U.K. last August and gave the doctor all his records. Do people have annual checks with a cardiologist here or if you are ok is that it?

Will my dad be okay?
Hi all - I’m writing because I’m really worried about my dad (62 yrs). He’s been having some pain between his shoulder blades while exercising for a few months now. He went in to see his cardiologist last week, and came back with a calcium score of 2200 and an appointment for an angioplasty + at least

Blocked Artery
I live in Spain and was diagnosed with Angina some years ago and prescribed medication. After a few years my condition got worse I was given an angiogram, when they discovered a totally blocked artery. I was told that it was impossible to fit a stent and that it was not necessary to have a heart bypass

Scared after Heart Attack and 3 Stents
I had a serious Heart Attack on July 13th and received (2) stents - 52 year old male. On July 30th, I received a third, due to some additional blockage found. The 3rd stent was scheduled and not under emergency conditions. Overall, my Cardiologist was pleased and said all (3) stents were working well

Nausea
Had. HA with one stent in June, I am suffering from nausea most days but worse in the evening, beginning to think it has to be the medication but which one. Anyone else had this.

Low Oxygen Levels - When to be Concerned?
Hi all. I had a major HA 9 weeks ago and had one stent fitted to a fully blocked left artery. I've been recovering pretty well all in all. My EF has gone up from 30% to around 45% and my 'severe left ventricular dysfunction' has improved to 'moderate LV dysfunction'. My question is this, I woke this

With hindsight, what do you wish you'd known when you had your first diagnosis of Parkinsons
I'm new here, but already signed up with the 'heart' section after having 2 new valves, an atriclip and a CABG in February this year.I had a stroke in 2016!Whatever next! Parkinsons is the answer - and I'm determined to fight that too with your help - what a wonderful brother/sisterhood you are. Typing

scared of dying
I guess one of my many problems or or at least the one that is dominant right now is my fear of dying. I've always had it and after having six bypasses at 42 and a stent when I was 51+ other medical conditions, I always felt it was justified. But now with the coronavirus and the high probability that

Best Laid Plans
Hi Nice people, hope you are all good and well. I must say that 8 weeks after CABG I’m feeling almost back to normal (as normal as normal can be) .... I had my sign-off meet at the The hospital yesterday, with my Surgeon, the one I look up to now as the man who was between me and my maker. I was very

A potentially silly question about chest pains
Hi all! So the question of if you're having chest pains with AF always comes up and, this may sound silly, but what does that really mean? What kind of chest pain? Sometimes I might get a very brief little digging pain (not very painful at all) under my breast that doesn't seem to be triggered by anything
