GTN spray
Hello hope all are well. Anyone had any issues with taking their GTN spray on a plane or any other meds. It's my first time flying since my HA and stent.

Stent inside stent
Hi Has anyone on here had a stent put inside a partly collapsed stent? As I had this done last year and started to be unwell since this procedure was done it's been nearly a year now and the symptoms have got much worse. Apparently my heart is ok by the tests that have been done but doctors seem to don't

Hi, I had one stent in my LAD in Oct.2019 - after 18 months of increasing breathlessness and tight chest feelings. I am attending Cardio rehab which is great and seemy cardio nurse regularly. BUT I still have shortness of breath when approaching anything like an incline not to say a hill. When

Kissing ovaries and obstructed ureter
I'm new to this forum. I was recently diagnosed with endometriosis this January after years of horrendous periods, which I assumed were normal! I'm 28 years old, no children, and no desire to have children. I'm in a same sex relationship as well. I have 'kissing ovaries' which have massive cysts on them

Stent at 35 another one due 3yrs later, anyone else have experiences of Heart disease at young age that medication/lifestyle haven’t stopped
After a long period of doctors trying to diagnose a very active, fit & healthy man, my husband (with basically the ideal healthy lifestyle), transpired he had a LAD 90% stenosis. Since then he’s continued his healthy lifestyle & takes all the medications offered but now 3 years later following CT has

An abnormally slow exercising heart rate..... WHY?
Up until Dec. 2017, when I was 68, I was almost exceptionally fit and had a resting heart rate in the low 50's and a high energy rate in the mid to high 180's. I had a stent fitted in April 2019 following which I have endured 3 rapid ambulance visits to A&E because of heart pain, low blood oxygen levels

Needing Advice
Hey guys, it’s been a long time since I’ve posted. To give you some background, my dad was diagnosed with stage IVb prostate cancer/Gleason 9 in October 2018. Prostatectomy not an option for local and peritoneal Mets at that time. Underwent 6 rounds of taxotere, responded SO well with minimal side effects

Abnormal Stress Test
Hey everyone, I was hoping to post a HA anniversary upbeat outcome from my stress test today. Its almost 12mths post HA and stent... but the computer says NO. Seems I have some abnormal blood flow so I have been recalled for another angiogram. I was hoping to hit the reset button today and get on with

BBC Newsnight report Stents V surgery trial
The program looked at heart doctors holding back data that suggested that more people with left main disease who were fitted with stents were dying than those who were treated by open heart surgery. The Excel trial was sponsored by the US stent manufacturer Abbott. The European Society of Cardiology

Heart Doctors Held Back Stent Death Data
This is more a disturbing than an interesting read. I will watch Newsnight tonight although I did not spot whn it is being broadcast. At the moment I am not commenting further as I do not want to speculate! https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/health-51539112

Sleeping 12 weeks after CABG x 4
For the last four nights I have really struggled to get to sleep and felt unwell during the day. My husband says I do sleep for much of the night but I can't get comfortable when going to bed. I feel itchy all over, my nightwear rides up and I rearrange my pillows. I feel cold and shivery and most distressing

Is Swelling at top of sternum 3 months after CABG x 3 normal?
My fiancé had his CABG x 3 just over 3 months ago and the “lump” at the top of his sternum incision is still as prominent as it was immediately after surgery, he’s also got irritation around this area (slight redness and dry skin.) Does this sound normal as we thought the swelling would go down quicker

Look After Yourself. Personal View
I think what is going on is a Logistics Nightmare , and a Inter Generational Failure It is obvious that what we all assumed to be the computer age is not exactly what it is cracked up to be !! Look how often letters don't come from the NHS when they are supposed to, Admin Error, we are told. When you

.? Endocarditis
9 months ago I had a new aortic valve and a single cabg where the mammary artery was used. Recovery was a bit eventful, back with my cardiologist now, who did a telephone conversation with me about 2 weeks ago. One concern I have, I’m female by the way, the left breast towards the inside I get like toothache
