Appt tommorrow need answers now

I’m due to go see ear nose throat consultant tommorrow 1st visit did go having a weak strained voice for the past 8 weeks. Nothing was mentioned on whether I’d need a laryngoscopy or whether to stop any meds etc. My question is this... does anyone know if it’s safe for me to have a laryngoscopy when I have a stent fitted snd a 69% blockage in left circumflex ... had stent in March . I think the laryngoscopy would be the one they do in the consultants office whereby they spray the throat and insert a tube with a camera on the end . All I want to do is get better and stronger then this happens. Please help.

Only your doctor can answer that question, nevertheless, you sound very anxious so I thought I would answer your question.

When your stent was inserted, that would have increased the blood flow in the left circumflex artery. Before any doctor undertakes a procedure, they would assess your health status including past medical history and current treatments to ascertain whether or not you were fit enough for a procedure or investigation.

Don’t worry, go to your appointment in the morning and just mention your concerns. I am sure all will be well and you will be fine.

I've had one of these. They put the camera probe down through your nostrils, its that small, so they can look down on your throat from above.
