Best laser for prostate surgery while on Eliquis?
Has anybody had any experience with a laser Turp while on Eliquis? I had a prostate resection 10 years ago, ( no PAF then) and it was a quite bloody affair, with 4 days of catheterized bladder washing. I filled tens of colored water bags with the draining of my blood loss. Now I have to do a Turp

My Years with IBS
Just discovered this forum and joined. I have had stomach issues from a very young age, about 6 but, was diagnosed with IBS in my thirties over 40 years ago. In the beginning, I used to get violent bouts of diarrhoea that would hit me whilst still eating a meal. It was so embarrassing that I hated eating

NEAD (Not Eating All Day) AKA Intermittent Fasting
Intermittent Fasting (IF) is a safe, easy way to lose weight without counting calories. You can use IF as an initial methodology for weight loss, or you can switch to it - if what you are doing does not work, or has stopped working. With enough incentive or motivation (e.g. diabetes or cancer) you can

Med schedule
Was in the hospital with 30 hrs of nonstop Afib and Aflutter on Valentines day. How ironic. They added Eliquis to my med regime now. I have been on propafenone and diltiazem. I am trying to streamline my med schedule. Do any of you take all 3 of these at the same time? I have to crush all my meds and

Greetings from Sydney.
I am brand new here looking to make friends and ask questions. i had a hernia operation on January 16 and ended up in the coronary care ward. After an echo test and a ct scan, a 24 hour holter monitor and lots of tests i have found to have had/developed AF. Fortunately for me the ct scan showed I had

New to Warfarin
Good morning! It has been a while. I was informed yesterday that my antibodies had become worse and he wanted to switch me from Eliquis to Warfarin. I always wondered why had had me on Eliquis(for 2 years) to begin with. But he is on the APS list of docs for the USA so I trusted his knowledge. What

Having GI issues (SBRT to nodes)
I was dx. with PC in 2009. Subsequently: surgery failed, SRT failed, HT has worked very well with a few HT vacations. During such vacations, when my PSA eventually starts to rise, we do scans. Now to present: Doc at Umich is doing 10 SBRT txs to some lymph nodes. A previous ga68-PSMA scan found my PC

I started with Senna and then when they stopped working went onto dulcolax liquid until recently even that didnt work too well. Basically i suspect

Accidentally taking a double dose of Eliquis
Has anyone else suffered from CRS (Can't Remember "Stuff"), and accidentally taken two Eliquis 5mg instead of one just an hour apart? My doctor says not to worry, but skip this morning's dose and start again this evening, trying not to screw it up. If you have ever done this, did it cause you any problems

Happy New year everyone. I am new to the group and suffered over 30yrs with IBS mostly d, but last year had a very long painful period with c. Read this on Apixaban
A major criticism of the NOACs concluded that there was no way to “reverse” the blood thinning effect in patients who were actively bleeding. That particular limitation for Eliquis has now recently changed. Andexanet alfa was designed to reverse the blood thinning effects of factor Xa inhibitors. Recently

Hi all
I’m new to to this site and so glad I’ve found it. I was diagnosed with ibs in 2013, first symptoms started in 2012 after a bout of sickness on a break in Ireland. Since then I’ve been diagnosed with anxiety and depression, but also showed signs of that prior to diagnosis. Last Sunday a huge flare up

Chances of progression after ablation?
Hi All: i was just curious, and I know everyone is different, what are the odds of AF progressing to a permanent status? I have had an ablation and I am currently blanking. Only had one 5 hour run. Still on cardizem and metropolol and Eliquis. I rarely even have PACs anymore. I’m 39, and otherwise

Tattoo Update
I had asked for advice re: tattoos while on Eliquis. I went ahead and had a small text one done on my forearm. I found a tattoo guy who had experience with people on blood thinners. He knew I was super anxious, so he entertained me by being overly cautious. He even traced my veins with a marker and
