CAD and AF

[CADAFENOUGH]

Recent stent due to 95% blocked in coronary after 10 yr hx of paroxysmal AF -- frustrating as I prefer higher level of activity, but also enjoy my cocktails. Since stent have had to d/c Propafanone for AF and Metroprolol not working -- any experience on other anti-arrythmics in conjunction with Eliquis and Plavis?

Welcome to the AF forum. Sorry, but I haven't a clue what CAD stands for.

Flecainide (think it may have another name in the USA, if you live there) has proved to be an effective pill for a lot of members . Flecainide and Metoprolol has been the only medication which has actually helped stop my AF.

CAD in this context is probably coronary artery disease.

Well not Flecainide obviously. Sotalol would be considered, I had no problems on it for 8 years. Amiodarone problematic and apparently not a great choice for many in the long term without very careful monitoring. Dronedarone safer, less effective. In the States, Dofetilide though I don’t know the contraindications.
