Struggling to have a physical body
I've been diagnosed as BRCA1 positiveIn Nov. 2022 I had a bilateral mastectomy On Aug 17 I had my ovaries and fallopian tubes removed. These were both surgeries to prevent me from hopefully developing cancer in the future. I also have alopecia areata (have had for 19 years) I'm really struggling to

and 33 doses/days radiation now on Letrozole. Anyone with similar diagnosis and treatment have any advice on supplements or what to expect? Reading some posts where Letrozole "stopped working". Any information is helpful.

Looks to be another case of professional success breeding professional arrogance and familial preference. Seems to be a lot of that going around these days - in all sectors of society. BTW, as a patient, my fav reader comment to the article is: "tell someone that they make a nice anecdote". * * *

Hi At age 32 I had a triple negative tumour removed (lumpectomy) followed by chemo and radiotherapy. Fast forward 31 years I have just had a mastectomy after I had an oestrogen positive tumour. No chemo needed-phew! The op was 3 weeks ago & I still have a large haematoma that has already been drained

Must manage your own healthcare
Hi everyone! I’m Jennifer. Found my breast cancer because God gave me an itch right on top of my tumor. It was 26mm and not seen on the 3D mammogram. I now tell everyone I know that women cannot rely on mammograms to find breast cancer. Must do regular self exams. Had double mastectomy and found macrometatastisis

Hi all. Hope your all doing well. In Jan 2023 I had bilateral tumours each being 7mm. Was tested for braca2 came up positive (history of bc in family rife!). Lymph nodes clear. Opted for double mastectomy and oomphaloompha surgery (removal of ovaries and tubes). Its not really called that but close

Vasectomy as a Chef
Dear ya'll, I'm due to have my op in about 2 weeks time. Excited, as it's something that's been on the cards for a while but never followed through. I am a chef however, and all the sites say, avoid "heavy duties" for about a week. I have written to my manager and she's asked me to define this. I

Low Dose Naltrexone
Hi I’ve just started taking Low dose naltrexone(LDN) and was wondering if anyone else had tried it? I’m hoping it reduces my antibodies and the constant aches/ pain. However I feel like I’m pinning a lot on it!! ( just for background I developed a goitre in 2021, biopsy came back inconclusive so I had

My Journey - Breast Cancer
So far - I'm Lucky. On March 8th - my husband found a lump on my right breast. He was so sweet - Honey - when was your last Mamo. July 2023 - Why. And then he showed me what he felt. After a sleepless night - right to the Gyno - no worries about apts. I needed to see them. They got me a Mamo

Hyper/hyper thyroidism?
Following recent scan of saliva glands, which were normal, my thyroid was noted as being “dark”? As I had a partial thyroidectomy 40 years ago and do not take any thyroid supplementary tablets, any clues as to what may be going on. Symptoms, normally attributed to my age, are extreme tiredness

TSH 3.88
Hi My recent blood test result showed my TSH is 3.88 and the receptionist said the doctor had left a note saying “tell patient normal” (which is what they always say). My question is…is it normal? I had a partial thyroidectomy in 2001 and have been on thyroxine ever since. Lately I’ve been struggling

New Thyroid Results - Conversion Issue?
Hi, After an emotional Thyroid rollercoaster these past couple years (post partial thyroidectomy 12/2/21 in combination with an Endo who doesn't believe in compounded medication), I finally seem to be settling into a medication and dose that works okay. I'd have to say that I'm still a bit tired and

My Research into thyroid tissue growing back after TT🤔
I had full TT in 2019 due to graves thyrotoxicosis, as some members will know I had a US scan performed in 2022 for a Parathyroid adenoma, the surgeon noted a nodule of 6/7 on the left side, but nothing else.I went on to have the F18 pet scan to determine what the nodule was, but a mass of (14x7x21)

Update on Nuclear Scan and where I am at now.
First: thank you all for the kind support I have received since - Much appreciated. To the Nuclear Scan ordered by my GP for suspect spread from bladder cancer to the bones. I got a call from my GP surgery today telling me Dr wanted to let me know, NO bone cancer found. Thant's one worry gone.

Wondering if I should get a Partial Thyroidectomy?
I have a nodule on the left side of my thyroid which grew from 11 x 5 x 7 mm to 14 x 9 x 7 mm over the last 6 months. My endocrinologist and ENT believe it’s cancer. No impact on my lymph nodes. My surgery is in a few days and I’m just nervous I’m removing a part of my body that could be fine. Any
