I am currently enrolled in ADHD
parenting
classes. One of the things we are trying to be harder on ourselves as the parents about is less enabling and more independence. we have started to lean back a bit and have progress with giving him the ability to learn skills on his own.

Favorite podcasts, books, websites, Instagram...
I keep reading posts where people share valuable resources for
parenting
a child with ADHD. It would be great if we started one post that includes all our favorites (if that's "legal" in this community setting.) I like the ADHD Dude on Instagram.

I want to find a therapist who understands PP and who gets
parenting
too. Any ideas of how to find such a thing? I’m not interested in CBT. Thanks so much! xx

I walked with shame before..
It interrupted my
parenting
when my child was 14. I was an excellent mother, and then I fell apart. OMG the shame in that! I think the root of my problem is shame. decades of shame. I am on the search on how to release this from my body and my mind. Shame is heavy it's hard to carry.

The Role of Exercise in Mental Health and Longevity: A Personal Exploration
It provides solace, helping me manage the challenges of
parenting
and daily life. During these moments, I find tranquility and empowerment to handle stress and maintain a positive mindset. But it's not just about the present; it's about preparing for the future.

A Tribute To My Dad
His
parenting
responsibilities were to set a good example, love our mother, be respected for his work, and to be a man of faith and character. I knew my dad cared for me, but my mom was in charge of the family, and his primary role was that of a provider.

school refusal
I am a single mother and I know as her primary parent and I am the one in charge of helping her get through this process her father feels that it's just a
parenting
issue and I have not been strict enough and does not except that she has any sort of "condition ". My support system is small.

newbie here, also struggling with life
I have a lot of issues related to many things (dad dying a little over a year ago from Covid, mom being chronically ill and living very far away, work stress,
parenting
stress, and just overall feelings of worthlessness & a huge lack of motivation. Sometimes it can feel debilitating!

Thalassemia: Lessons in Perseverance and Compassion
Parenting
is the most precious part of my life. I juggle medical tasks and my work schedule so I can be his primary caregiver—taking him to his after-school activities, helping with homework, and going on adventures.

Introduction
My personality and
parenting
style have completely changed because of the medicine and I'm so numb and checked out and passive. I am slowly getting off meds (as of this week I'm off lithium!) but I am still on olanzapine and temazepam.
