Zolendronate Infusion
I had a
parathyroidectomy
in August. I am unable to take alendronic acid due to stomach problems and have been advised to have a zolendronate infusion. However, I am concerned about side effects, in particular hair loss, skin changes and joint pain.

There's more of us than I thought!
About 8 years ago I had a
parathyroidectomy
because I was pushing too much calcium into my blood and this was making me anxious. Removal of the parathyroid certainly helped reduce that general anxiety but did nothing for the PBMA .

TT from papillary cancer and 2nd PTH op
These are my recent results (Jan 19) post TT after papillary cancer and second
parathyroidectomy
in London in Aug 18. I’m not feeling great and have terrible gastric issues. Can anyone advise if the results look within range? I’m seeing medical centre doctor again in a few weeks.

Prolia and Parathyroidectomy
My question is has anyone else on Prolia required a
parathyroidectomy
? Also any opinion on whether Prolia can indirectly make the parathyroid work so hard to create enough calcium to replace what Prolia removes that one or more parathyroids must be removed?

Parathyroidectomy
I'm due to have my
parathyroidectomy
next week and just wondered if anyone had any words of wisdom... 😉 I think I'm more concerned about the anaesthetic because I've never had an operation before ...,I'm hoping it will be local but it could be a general.

Jumpstart
Had a TT in 2010 as well as a
parathyroidectomy
. I have intermittent slow gastric emptying and/or functional dyspepsia. Have any of you tried "jumpstarting" your metabolism by temporarily increasing your thyroid meds? If so, was it successful?

Looking for advice.
I had a
parathyroidectomy
5 weeks ago with half my thyroid removed during the operation. My daughters blood results are good at the moment but she is only 18 and has been on Neomercazole for 18 months already. She will be staying on it for possibly another 18 months.

T3
I had a total thyroidectomy in 2002 and also a partial
parathyroidectomy
. I feel I need T3 to keep my thyroid levels from falling but nobody thinks of prescribing it. Is this reasonable?

Game of Thrones
Briefly, my hypoT history is that I had a
parathyroidectomy
and hemithroidectomy a little over a year ago. I was diagnosed with chronic fatigue syndrome in 2005, which, so far as I have learned with research, probably means that I have been hypoT for a long time.

Post parathyroidectomy T4/TSH....
She had a
parathyroidectomy
in January, after which her calcium levels returned straight back to normal but she still isn't feeling fully well - she's exhausted all the time.

Getting impatient on Thyroid-S
I had a partial
parathyroidectomy
and hemithyroidectomy in March 2015. I know, for sure, that I feel one helluva lot better now than I did before my op ( I felt nearly dead on my feet!) but I feel as if I have replaced one set of problems with another. I was diagnosed with CFS ten years ago.
