I had a total thyroidectomy in 2002 and also a partial parathyroidectomy. I feel I need T3 to keep my thyroid levels from falling but nobody thinks of prescribing it. Is this reasonable?

Welcome to the forum y2KiUua9

Many people are perfectly well on levothyroxine (T4) alone, but some do need to add a little T3. Without more information, no-one can say whether or not you personally might benefit from T3.

Please post your most recent thyroid lab results and your current medication regime so that members can offer their opinions.
